Has anyone done the individual colour scheme and more specifically gone for a Lava Grey A3 8V?

individual cherry black. I had a lava grey 8p a long time ago. Loved the colour but I think Daytona is more interesting when the sun shines. Have you considered Oolong?

Btw my cherry black car will be at York Audi on their forecourt in 2 weeks when my new one arrives. I've just clocked 2000 miles since March - HUGE mileage!

I have recently had to part with my A3 2.0 TFSi Quattro due to a number of factors mainly due to running costs. Awesome car my second one and great fun. It was high mileage was developing problems and I got a decent px due to the dealer not spotting everything.

I was looking to get a new A3 2.0 184ps version as got a great offer from Coventry Audi however just as I was about to commit I saw one pop up locally and had 80% of the spec I had configured in my new build. I was also going to save a bit of cash as it was 9 months old.

Great car however still learning how to drive it to be honest. Doesn't have the raw power of the petrol but that's probably stating the obvious. Had 100 mile round trip to airport last week and got 46mpg driving sensibly. Petrol one would have probably given me 30 mpg at best because it was had to drive sensibly in it.

Few mods to carry out but taking my time. Did change the alloys though. Nightmare to clean!

What I am really missing is roof rails, decent audio and a nice lighting pack but hey you cant have everything. Well I suppose you could if you ordered new!!

Old alloys will be on sale in classifieds btw

Very nice Reece. I have an S3 SB in daytona on order with Coventry Audi - build week 37 at the mo.

Your car looks great in the photos - I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on handover, condition of car (hopefully perfect!) etc - I am somewhat OCD when it comes to paintwork condition so would be good to know if Coventry will match my standards :wink new:

Peter

Finally got round to taking some pictures now that I have finalised the wrapped bits and given her a fast wash.

Nice - you happy with the Monsoon?

Yep very happy, definitely prefer it over Daytona but everyone has their own opinion. It's got 3x layers of Cquartz finest sealant on it and the gloss is ridiculous. :D

The g/f has a Daytona A1 and i wanted to go for grey but not the same colour! I also felt the flatness of the Monsoon seems to contrast really well with the S3 alloys and other metal finishes.

Can't beat Daytona Grey IMO!

This pic was taken at GTINI's Castlewellan VAG show on Saturday. Prior to this, I machine polished the car using CarPro Reflect, and finished it with Definitive Wax Show Edition.

Mods so far: 25mm drop on ST (by KW) springs, 15mm H&R spacers at the rear, 10mm H&R at the front, colour flip fog tints, rear wiper delete, debadged rear
