As in the title really, clutch replacement on a Quattro manual 2.0tfsi , is it a straight forward diy job or does it need to be carried out by a garage, if a reasonable diy job , any tips on best way forward to perform the task and possible issues that may arise.
thanks in advance.

I've done it a few times on the floor and its a ballache to say the least. Personally I would send it to a garage mate

thanks for the reply craig, so not an ideal one then, what sort of cost are likely to be involved if going down the garage route and what would the recommended maker of spare parts be.
cheers

I've only ever fitted performance parts to be honest mate. But find yourself a reputable mechanic and it should be done on a Saturday morning for £200 easily

can you recommend a decent setup , nothing over kill but I did want to remap at some point so that may be a factor.
I wasn't looking to do the flywheel at 40k , what do you think.

I'll be honest mate, I'm not 100% of what's on the market these days but I'll do some digging and get back to you.

Doable at home but a ramp makes it a whole lot easier. For the cost involved let a garage do it. For a normal road car fit an OE clutch.
