Prawn and BigAls A3 Track Car

how often do you drive it nick?
i should make more effort but the roads here are just useless
 
Every weekend without fail, usually an early morning or evening blast when the roads are quiet, then usually once in the week too, just an evening blast to keep things moving and relieve some stress!



 
As the pic shows, my bonnet really needs re-lacquering now. it's done well considering it's about 7 years old!
 
Drove the car to work today.

Didn't take any pictures, because they'd look exactly the same as all the other pics.

Worked hard. Managed to leave early, and went cross country home down some fantastic roads I've not been on before.

Sunny summers day, windows down, quiet country roads through lovely country side, and 350+bhp to enjoy.

Can't beat it :)

I thought I Daz is quote annoyed that it's lighter and more powerful than his s3 yet feels far more planted and stable.

Given the stats, is nowhere near as traction limited as you might think. It's an awful lot of fun down the right roads, and of course on track to exploit it properly :)
 
Oh great Track God Prawn, what brake fluid is best to use? Picked myself up some LCR brembos with DS 2500 pads and drilled disks for a total steal!

Cars looking sick, nice to see it gets used out on the road as well as track ! Not a trailer queen :racer:

best fluid is castol srf but very expensive

rbf 660 is 2nd best and better value
tey to add cooling if you can

and sack the 2500s off and get 3000s

I like how it is a vw gti based event with an Audi on the poster. You are the winner so it makes sense.

Theres more and more Audi's turning up at the Club GTI events, It's not just for Golf track cars. Hopefully I will be there in September. Fitted the H&R uprated anti roll bars front and rear on mine today, can't believe the difference it makes in the handling, it now goes round corners very nicely. Hopefully that will be a few 10ths faster at Curbrough,target now is a sub 29 second lap.

it might take a few years but one day itll happen!!
 
hes not going to make every single event and when he doesnt im 99 percent sure ill beat him

Nice to see my thread carries on without me :laugh:

I welcome a challenge from any of you (apart from Bill!) :racer:

No real updates here. Started new job. Been very busy.

Car needs new discs n pads up front, then it's track ready. Just need money for discs n pads!

We will be back on track this year. Certainly at ADI if not before.
