2009 AUDI TTS TURBO PROBLEMS ?

Hello folks! New to this forum!

Ok so I recently (3/4 weeks ago) bought a 2009 Audi tts...didn't know much about the car when I got it except it was pretty quick!!
When I got the car the "turbo" seemed to kick in at around 5000rpm, which I now know is not right and should start at 2000, then full boost at 3000rpm! Has anyone else ever encountered this problem ? Every time I drive the car 70% it will work fine and I will hear and feel the boost at between 2 and 3000rpm then when you don't expect it the turbo won't kick in untill at least 5000rpm or sometimes even not at all!

Can anyone help ? Cheers

My guess would be a leak somewhere or a split somewhere which may open/close differently with different temperatures hence why you experience it intermittently, worth having intake pipes and all aspect of the exhaust checked including the turbo itself.
