What have you done today?

Bit of both really.

They look a hundred times better (in my opinion )

But more importantly they are less visible from inside the cabin and they take genuine aero wipers.

I'm sure there's other things...

First go at doing a head gasket and timing belt on a friends AUQ today. What a pleasure these cars are to work on, only hold up was wriggling the engine mount in and out. Will be more than happy to fit new rings and a set of steel rods in the near future :)

i think the aero wipers last longer and do a better job where do you get the upgrade ones

You think wrong, to a certain extent. Yes they look pretty on your windscreen, and they offer an even swoop accross the screen. Unfortunately, they are pretty useless at anything over 70mph. They lift off the screen slightly on the down sweep.

Of course there's a solution to that. RainX your front windscreen, and the wipers are pretty much redundant at said speed! :)

But you shouldn't be doing over 70mph anyway

I fitted the new parts I ordered after a nice neighbour kindly broke them for me!

And fitted a cupra front lower spoiler too...,.

Took a bit of fettling to get the ends profiled and cut right but I'm pretty pleased with it!

Just gotta remove it all again in a few weeks and paint the front bumper as it's covered in stone chips but glad for the time being it's got all its unbroken parts back on!

Priced up a new foglamp too but they were almost £140 inc vat for just the 1x I wanted,luckily it was just one of the mounting tabs had a clean break through it so I repaired it with some 3M plastic bumper repair epoxy we use!

Some pics of the Wagner intercooler I fitted the other week!(forgot to get some as I'd done it as it was late Saturday afternoon and I had to be at the pub!)

And as luck would have it,I advertised locally to see if anyone had any s3 wheels for sale that I can run on mine so I can remove my originals and have them refurbed,8pm tonight a guy messages me to say he's got a set with 2x as-new tyres and centers for £100,so 10mins later they were mine! Not been a bad day so far!

I assume the surround came pre painted? need to sort one for mine...

<tuffty/>

The surround isn't painted mate,it's grey plastic right through. To be honest,I didn't need a new one,mine had about a 20mm crack in it,but with the new foglamp grille fitted all u can see is this,but I replaced it anyway with the new one and will sell this one on if someone needs it,cost a pretty penny but I'd easily have lived with the tiny 5mm bit of a crack that's hardly even visible if I'd known earlier!

U can just about see it here with the foglamp grille fitted!

I have a crack in a similar place and want to change it as I am a tart :)

<tuffty/>

If it's not too noticeable I'd live with it mate,they are £48 plus the vat! I kinda felt a bit sick when I fitted the smaller grille into it and saw it wasn't really noticeable especially when it's down near the ground.

The cost doesn't bother me... been looking at the side pieces too... they are silly money but I am saving for a full respray and fancy replacing them all to bring the old girl up like new lol

Yeah I know what u mean,the foglamp grille on mine now looks 'too good' compared to the long square one next to it!

will have to get me self a splitter and i still fancy some s3 rims for mine so i can put some skulls on them :grin:

N249 bypass, upgraded my climate control unit, head light control switch and my S3 steering wheel badge :)

This now occupies the double DIN space - lots of TA tweaking to do now

I fitted my newly aquired armrest, took just under an hour to fit and wasn't to much of a pain thanks to a guide on here. Very happy with how it feels and to me feels like it was missing it ever since I first sat in her.

Today I replaced my front shocks, ball joints and poly bushed my wishbones with new bushes from strongflex.eu. A fraction of the price of any other polybushes out there. There is no more clicking and clunking and cracking on slow turns. It actually feels like a new car.
