I have this at the moment and the buttons are looking very tired and crap
Seen on eBay replacement but seem the heated seat buttons are not there or does this slide behind it

I Baught the sticker kit off eBay, they are a perfect fit and make it look new, all for nine quid.

Make sure you scrape off the black around where the symbols are and wipe the buttons over with meths or something like that to remove the grease before sticking.

As ayfreetee says, I bought a set of stickers off ebay before to do this, they worked a treat and it's cheaper option than changing the unit all the time when the black gets rubbed off. It was a perfect colour match too and you would not know they were stickers on.

Buy the unit and swap buttons over if you don't fancy the stickers and can get the unit cheap enough

I have a second hand unit awaiting fitting... I just don't know how to do it... >.<

Thanks for posting this up.hadnt seen this one before. Have u bought this one and fitted it no problems? I've seen some on eBay previously but they were not these ones and not even for sale from the same country and their feedback was shocking. When I looked at the negative feedback it was all for these buttons to fit various audi's that people had bought previously and said they were rubbish. So basically what I'm trying to say is I want to buy a set,but only want to buy them once, fit them and have no problems a few days down the line with them falling off.

hey guys,

done this exact same fix up on mine. get your torx bit head out as that's all you'll be unscrewing! LOL

#4 <- clicky

I got the stickers from eBay easy and looks great now a lot cheaper

I've not used them personally...

I'm going to 'attempt" to change my climate control unit tomorrow, any last tips before I screw it up... >.<

not too bad at all, take the radio out and pull on the cc unit. felt like it was attached with something, but it did pop out, top then bottom, no screws etc.
i managed to swap out some buttons from my 1.8 n/a into the s3 today, but need a tiny torx to get the front panel off the cc to make it easier.

this may help:

Nice one Cuz :)
I've had the radio out before so should be easy...
I also need to swap the head light control, I know how to pop it out, but there wasn't enough play/slack on to wiring connector to pop the connector from the unit...
Any tips on that? >.<

pull it out as much as possible, then undo the dimmer connector which should give you a little bit more movement to pull it out more then use a flathead screwdriver to push on the sides of the headlight control plug

Pulled out my old unit today, plugged the replacement unit in and it's not working, plugged my old unit back in and still nothing, checked fuse 25 and its ok. I'm sure that I only pulled 4 plugs from the back of the unit but there are 5 connectors on both both units, my car doesn't have heated seats so I'm assuming that's what the fifth connection is for? Please help I need AC in this weather!

yeah you're right. i had the exact same thing with the 4 plugs/no heated seats.
the connectors can only fit one way so just make sure they're pushed in all the way and re-test. maybe check to see what other fuses could have blown? i'm not 100% sure are the battery fuses correlated to the HVAC?

Just checked battery fuses and they are all fine...

All fixed now, fuse number 5 had popped... >.<
