Been having trouble with my shift selectors mainly reverse 1st and 2nd. Really tiff to put into gear and sometimes won't go into reverse. Its the same hot or cold really doesn't make a difference.
I've changed the gearbox oil and everything. Didn't make a difference. Any ideas where to look or who to see from this point.
My car has a solid flywheel and the year of the car is 2005.

Knackered clutch? When my sisters 1.6tdi ibiza did this she had broken the pressure plate

I don't feel it's the clutch as it's fairly knew and my clutch isn't slipping at all..

It's the case about mine. It only happens from time to time so can't really pinpoint when and why it happens to let a mechanic know.

Has it been happening since the new clutch was fitted?

The clutch isn't knew but it's still in full working order

Selector forks and synchros are known problem areas.

That was what I was thinking

Different car,but mine had wear on both selector forks and synchros, and the gearbox rebuilders had seen quite a few like that.

Not cheap, but worth opening the box and finding out.
