I have been finding my BRD engine suffers power loss when coasting around 2-3000 revs especially after sitting in the sun and when warming up. I cleaned the injectors but no change. I recently started to get the coil light appear on the dash and fault codes for sensor errors
I did a quick test on the intake manifold vacuum unit and pulled the actuator across with long nose pliers then with a wet finger closed the hose port off. I found there was no vacuum and the push rod returned back to its open position.
I bought a replacement part and manifold gasket from TPS for £16.72 and fitted it and the car now runs perfectly parts 03G129061C VAC UNIT 03G129717D GASKET
worth checking the vac unit before changing anything else
