Got a slight problem with my 1999 B5.

For a while car was not talking to computer so had stripped the center console trying to fix the problem.

Ended up just being a blown fuse !!!

When i did get it talking i did not have the heater or the fog lights connected and when i re-connected everything the heater controls and fog lights are not working

Checked the fuses and the relays and everything seems alright and don't know what to try next

VCDS says it cannot communicate with the heater

evry thing plugged in properly as just checked... still dead

thinking back....

I think i deleted all error codes with the heater and fog lights disconnected...
can this cause the problem??

going to england next weekend and hope to get this fixed first

well.... with the cold weather coming in this is the last gasp for my bus

With climatronic controls is there another control unit for the heating or is it controlled by the ECU??

anyone got a pin layout on the plugs going into the back of the climate control unit?
Ive offered to look at this a few times for Davy it seems as if its not getting power.
as I said the other day mate let me loose with it for a few hours.

the pinouts are on panzers diagram, they're not all in one place though, you just have to flick thru each page. The plug and pin numbers are printed where the line goes into the unit (E87). Most of the power stuff is on page 2, there are numerous fuses and live feeds.
