I see Nic is driving an S3/RS3 Saloon in the next race. Apologies if this has been posted before. Great to see disabled drivers getting a run out. Although, with his brother and Monster behind him he is in a very privileged position in terms of money support. Hope he does well.

Need some reasonable level of ability for BTC, good that some one with Nicks disability has worked hard to get this opportunity.
I think it's great and hope he does well.

I think he might be a mobile chicane unfortunately, the S3 hasn't been a great performer at the BTCC before and he hasn't really shone at driving yet. He was in the Clio cup for two years actually https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolas_Hamilton#Renault_Clio_Cup_United_Kingdom But good luck to him and I wish him all the best for giving it a go. yes I posted this one up before when I first heard about it...

I think most will be wishing him well this weekend. I had little idea how his disability affected him and his movement until I saw him in the hotel the night before BTCC media day. I was a bit taken back considering what he's achieved. Rob Holland ran that Audi last year with Rotek and it was a bit of a back marker so AMD have had much work to do to bring it on and add any special driver aids needed. To finish any of the three races, even if he's last would be a big reward for the efforts and I'll certainly give him a cheer from the track.

Just getting ready to jump in my car for a 240mile drive to a hotel near Croft. A beer, weekend of laughs, and hopefully a win or at least podium for us will be magic but we shall see. Robs S3 looked stunning from a distance but up close was a little rough round the edges. It didn't come out at media day so I'm gonna try to get close tomorrow and if I can get in the garage I'll grab some pics. I'm in enemy clothing so it may not work out ;)
Last Run was Oulton and my A3 was perfect, all the way non stop. This is a little further from home so be interesting to see if I can stand when we reach the other end at about midnight. A1 hear we come......@ 70mph obviously

As long as we get the weather that blessed us last year it'll be another brilliant day out! Will be nice to see an A3 out there this time.

Love the BTCC.

Superb coverage on itv4 HD too.

Croft is a great circuit - looking forward to it too.

I'll need to stay off this thread. I'm away till Wednesday so guess what Thursday's viewing will be.

I had a really bad case of Man Flu for knockhill last year so we couldn't make the journey. Was both sick and gutted. Came up in 2013 for the first time and loved it. Of all the circuits it's deffo in my top three. Team karting event being organised this year too so I get to pretend to be a proper driver lol. One of my best mates lives in Kilmarnock, and a second in Newcastle so we normally make the most of the trip and catch up while we're here. As for tonight's trip, just arrived for our Prem inn bed. Underestimated the miles, was in fact 275 but all done with only a quick comfort break @ 225 miles and just 3 diversions. 10 out of 10 yet again for my TDI on the long haul. Qually tomorrow and we get to see how competitive he can be? Not sure if both infinity's are tuning but about 30 on the grid. Hope the racings good!!!

Agreed .... Knockhill provides great BTCC action.

The weather (for once) is looking great so you guys at the circuit may need sum cream :)

Plato for the win :sunglasses:

He is looking very strong and the team is doing an amazing job despite being in the 'wrong' car...

Give me a buzz closer to the Knockhill date and we can have a wee mini meet!!! I'm there with my Dad, Daughter (loves fast cars) and my nephew. Enjoy Croft.

Great job from the rear wheel drive BMW's that seemed to revel in the hot weather. Be good tomorrow with the anticipated change in weather to cooler / wet conditions. The Audi A4 of Austin running 7th fastest.
Unfortunately Hamilton was last of the qualifiers just over 4s off the front mans pace.

If any of you are down the lakeside way, the car itself is a work of art and so far from a road car you would scarcely recognise it under the skin.

Lovely
