Hi guys,

Running into a bit of trouble finding the correct pads. I want to go with EBC redstuff for my TTRS front setup, but some people are telling me one thing and some another. Could anyone confirm EBC do a redstuff pad for the TTRS setup, and where I can buy this?

Thanks.

Ah ok so Ive just found @45bvtc saying

"Now, EBC do not yet have an REDSTUFF pad for the RS3 or TTRS*, so I ordered the Mitsubishi/Subaru fitment DP31210C."

So should I go with this as well?

Thanks guys.

These DP31210C pads will fit the calliper but note that they do not have the brake warning lamp cable attachments so you'll need to modify the cable

Thanks for your input 45bvtc, hope you didnt mind me quoting you.

Yeah I read that, I am prepared to do that rather than paying Audi almost 300 quid for the ones with the sensor!!

I wouldn't recommend EBC Red Stuff, I had them an another setup and wasn't impressed. Go for the Yellow Stuff pads.

Like I've said so many times.

It's like marmite.

Some like a nice smooth step some(like me) want something more aggressive that never fades etc etc.

Good job there are enough different setups to choose from!!

Total agreement.

Like when you do the 1st real test, it's similar to a parachute jump !

haha. You know what, from my research, it seems that Pagid Blue comes very highly rated, but from what I can see, the pad is quite literally blue! And you can see it when its installed! So no matter how good it is, a blue pad looks naff! (well unless its on a blue car or something like that) The ebc redstuff would win in that regard.

I guess that's true...
I wasn't disappointed with the first brake test of either Alcon or AP so I'm hoping it will be as good this time round.

Not being funny but I'm still really happy with the EBC red stuff pads I bought for the front and back. Feel very Oem with the pressure on the pedal but with better braking and hardly any braking dust! They stopped me pretty dam quick last week when I had some numpty decide to pull out on me without indicating!!

I've had EBC Redstuff with EBC Ultimax disks on the front for a few months now - good stopping power, less brake dust than OEM pads, no noise or issues when cold. I've been on a few fast drives and haven't noticed any fade. Have a very long hoon trip coming up next weekend, so hopefully they stand up to the test :)

From what I can tell mate they seem to be the only EBC pads worth buying. However EBC themselves recommend the yellowstuff for our cars, but there is a picture posted over in the RS3 forum of the yellowstuff literally disintegrating after only light use.
