Does anyone know if a Milltek downpipe can be fitted with a standard system?
or
Does anybody else make a "performance" downpipe for a 1.8T A4 B5?

I would have thought it would be a larger bore size but you might be able to use a reducing sleeve.

Thats good if they do!!

I caught my exhaust on a ramp ages ago and it stretched the flexi pipe out and now is blowing a little bit.

Milltek say no.
They will not supply a downpipe on it's own.
I was hoping to change the downpipe now (I need one anyway) & the rest of the system early next year.
I'll try my local supplier tomorrow.

I cant see them splitting the system, as the centre section is priced on its own to but i think it has to come with a backbox.

Worth a try though!!

what downpipe? B5 avant 1.8t is a longtudinal engine, turbo bolts straight to the cat and then to the front pipe section. wasn't aware of any traditional downpipe.....as it runs straight back and not down like a transverse unit..

You can buy the downpipe separately, I did. As mentioned above, CAT bolts directly to turbo, then there is the downpipe, then the rest of the system.

When I first got my system I had it without the downpipe so a reducer was used to couple the two together... I removed it when I fitted the downpipe as the two Milltek parts obviously just slot straight together.

Centre sections are listed separately too because there are usually two different types... resonated and non-resonated.

Rich (RichA3Turbo) can get Milltek parts if you ask nicely
