New S3 ordered!

I probably will get boo'd for this, but how about some Rod Stewart. :sorry:
Not so much my thing, but I do have a few guilty pleasures - The Eagles, MrBig, ELO...

My only gripe with the Banger & Oli thing is you cant adjust the sound settings to different source's,i have the bass/sub well up when listening to my old mucker Val......lol,but when l switch straight to DAB, l have to reconfigure the bass/sub as its really toooo Boomy
Hey Simon, l aint into music much, maybe if l knew of a site l could download my old 80's/early 90's from, then l may make more use of the sound system.i dont have a lphone either TOO old for them .......lol

And Batch LOVELY s3 hope you enjoy it.......need to see some pic's outwith the handover area?

Thanks Jassy! I will take more, don't you worry!
You sure you can't adjust settings for different sources? Sure mine is different, as set up the Media sound settings today and when I went back to DAB it sounded default? I'll have to check.
Can't wait for those mirrors next Wednesday!

Mine definitely lets me set different sound settings for each source. Do you have the tech pack as well as the B&O? I am thinking maybe it's a feature of the tech pack if you don't.

Mate, the car looks great, mine will look the same only a saloon.
I am in total agreement with the carbon mirrors and the BSP. Looked at them myself and was gobsmacked at the price.
Oh well I can't have every thing.

Picking mine up Friday teatime and can't wait

Lovely car @batch looks stunning in Glacier !!

Been away so you've probably had it the best part of a week by now. Chalked up many miles ? Looking forward to driving mine tomorrow it looks in a desperate need of a wash after being parked up for 2 1/2 weeks.

Hi Jassy, compared to what we were driving in and on in Turkey we can't grumble to much about over here lol there were mountain roads with a piece of rusty barb wire for a crash barrier - I'd go back tho hols was a good one with typical family rows when little lad got too tired so will be glad to be back at work for the rest !!! Car was on the drive about 3cm gap to the garage door then the wife's car about 6cm in front of it. It now looks as if it's home to about 1000 spiders !!!!!

I checked yesterday @jassyo06 , mine definitely lets me adjust, and save, different sound settings for each input. You SURE yours doesn't?

Thanks @Rob2k68 , yes I'm really happy with the car! Itching to get the mirrors on and then a good detail. Haven't managed many miles unfortunately, I think I'm only on 200-odd but the other half has done a lot of those. My ones have been rapid though... Surprised just how much quicker than my old one it is! Also surprised a V8 M3 driver yesterday with the same info...

That looks stunning the mirror caps finish it off very nicely indeed !! Tempted to drop some on mine but not sure how they'd look with the chrome window surrounds.

I agree Rob, looks superb with the black pack but not convinced it's a goer with chrome details ;)

Thank you for the kind comments gents. Think I decided almost immediately that I wouldn't be swapping back to the silver caps so now wondering whether it's worth flogging them - might pay for a REVO!

Hmmm, not sure - I think they could work with the Daytona, but undecided whether they will clash with the chrome styling. As I say that might be outweighed by the colour co-ordination...

Sexual looking.............lol and would suit my car into the bargain......erm.....really nice

Hey Batch Retro fit black roof rails...icing on your Glacier/carbon S3 cake.

Sell the Satin covers as they dont suit white at all

So managed to get the car given its obligatory new car protection treatment yesterday, looking wonderful now and hopefully the paint is well-sorted and protected for the foreseeable!
Started off with a snow-foam attack...

Two-bucket wash with decent shampoo, before moving on to a two-stage decon - tar and glue remover then Iron-X - no pics yet but there was evidence of a lot of bonded contaminants!
Taped up and ready for the machine - a soft microfibre pad with GTechniq P1 all over (including the piano black pillar trims and the mirrors).

Following the machine polish, we applied a layer of Auto Finesse Tough-Coat sealant. The trims were dressed with Revive, wheels with Mint Rims and tyres with Meg's Endurance. At the next wash, I'll add a couple of layers of wax over the Tough-Coat. Ran out of time yesterday plus a decent curing period first should help the endurance!

Also gave these a good clean up so I can get them advertised!

^^ lovely job !! Can't imagine you'll have any problems moving the mirror caps on.

Cheers dude! I have an unhealthy obsession with those mirrors. Went back out later in the evening just to stare at them and stroke them!

Cranked the B&O up today, as far as I could go, using Epic by Faith No More. F***ing hell! Really is amazing, I got to 40 I think - still clear, punchy and crisp. Love it!

Hello mate, they were £363 including VAT I believe. Still can't shift the silver ones annoyingly!

l think its just the time of year mate, as everyones got holidays at the forefront of there minds,l am sure you will shift them soon.

So, had my Eibach Sportline springs fitted today with full Hunter alignment. Thanks to Dan at Halfords Autocentre in Croydon - they've got an ex-Porsche master tech there who also worked in a Cup team and he really is good at what he does!

Forgive the poor pics and the one-line review, I've been running around this evening sorting stuff out for a weekend away (without the car) and with the crap weather I didn't get a chance. I did manage to tuck in nicely and fly round a drenched roundabout which was refreshing! Ride-wise, I noticed barely any difference - just a reassuringly slightly stiffer feel. Even my wife said she couldn't fee anything different at normal speeds and "pootling" along. Result!
Looking forward to a proper play on the new setup, as well as wondering JUST how much these will settle!

lt does look better l must admit Rob,l used to think/see all sporty/ish Audi's had a very low suspension...ie not much room between the wheel arch and the tyre.......but the 8V does seem quite high in comparison to my last car, the ST.

As for getting them fitted to your car l am sure a Google search and a few phone calls would sort it out,it only takes about 45/60 minutes for them to change springs.

Still in two minds whether or not to do it myself - wonder what Audi would think about fitting them if I asked for a quote warranty wise ?

Got the Eagles on now which seem to have a squarer profile and look to fill the arches better so a taste of what's to come I think.
