S4 rem

Hi

Wonder if anyone can help

I have just bought a 99 s4 and want to get it remapped,

I was told yesterday that it has an early ecu and if they can remap it would only add 25bhp

I was hoping with a standard map it would go over the 300bhp

Can anyone hem

Thanks for the advice, it gets even better, I was driving past this place today and they specialise in ECU remapping, and to be fair they had some extremely quick cars parked outside, so I go in and speak to the guy there, tel him what i got and can he remap it, he says to me, yes it is possiblem, errm but i wouldn't advise it,so i say why,

whats the mileage on the car, I say 70k, then he says ok that's not bad mileage but i wouldn't recommend it because its a highly strung engine already and there could be loads of things that could go wrong, and he would suggest just driving the car and enjoying it the way it is,
