I did read somewhere that there's delays because there's been a fire at the factory that supplies the door handles

Still no build week for me....however! I'm glad I popped in to my dealer today. Got a sneak preview and sound test... Although in transport mode looked and sounded great. On a negative, my order has been fkd up by the factory/Audi uk not only was my exclusive colour changed to glacier white. But my spec was almost unrecognisable..Aparently there has been some mess up with a3 ordering and some orders have been cocked right up. Down to the dealers to check as they have no idea which ones are wrong

Going to test drive a demonstrator on Saturday as a potential replacement for my 8V S3, usually
like brighter colours but Nardo grey is very tempting.

Must be! Maybe I'll have to change my order...
My original order went in about three months ago, the wait has killed me and Iv still got another 2 months to go!

At least you all have build weeks. Order placed on April 15th with Audi UK from my dealer and still nothing. Some chap on FB reckons he placed his order with Glasgow yesterday and got given BW 30 straight away.
You must have stolen my slot! I had that til last week and got bumped to 21st
And I had the 21st until the weekend, now the 28th!!
How does this ordering system work, it seems to be completely random....
I placed my order on the 16th April and I still have no BW.... others seem to be placing more recent orders and getting build weeks straight away.

It's all about your spec and when they have a slot that works for the availability of the parts required.
So more spec USUALLY means longer wait as more things have to align to get all those parts to the factory at the same time.
The factory is hand to mouth and keeps only a few hours of stock on site, so it's quite an art/juggling act coordinating all the build slots.
It basically means from our view it is random tho!

A bit strange that, I almost ordered with Glasgow audi before going elsewhere ( 5 mins down the road from Glasgow audi) was told that delivery would be end oct/ early nov.
This was early last week
They probably had a car on order they could spec amend, but not to your spec. I'm guessing with/without pano was the deciding factor.
Maybe I should have stuck with nardo! It's probably due to the car not needing painted

Well had a call from my dealer today who has offered a little more discount and a July BW! So very tempted but can't conclude a definite colour and with the tight timeframe I can not change it once I have chosen.......

Have most people specced the black wheels ? I have went with Matt titanium however after seeing the car with the black wheels I am wondering whether to change to black. Just worried that after a few washes they will start to looked trashed, had a car with gloss back wheels before and scratches show up very easily
