So noticed that I can hear squeaking noises from the doors. I think its from the windows as when I put the windows down I cant hear the squeaking but not entirely sure. when its raining its fine. However s that due to the noise of the rain OR open windows masking the squeaking noise? any other guys had a similar issue/ and if so what did they do to fix it? Oh iv tried some silicone on the door rubbers which seem to help for a few days but then the squeaking comes back.

Its for a 2010 a4 3.0 tdi quottro...had it a few years now. the last year I seem to be getting all sots of small issues but I am picky as I have been told!

Also the passenger seat seems to move a bit now. When driving along I cant help but notice from the corner of my eye the seat moving back and forth ever so slightly. ive got electric seats..but guessing this shouldn't matter should it?Its the top half. Again any other guys had the same issue? and how did you fix them please.
:sos:These 2 things are driving me nuts! hate small squeaks and the seat movement on top of that.. :wtf:

Don't know about squeelling in door.

My 2013 a4 BE had to have a complete passenger seat base for same
Reason of movement in base. Was covered under warranty. They said it
Could have been fixed but as it was a year old they would replace seat base..

:sign omg: so it would seem that I need to fix the base.. Hmm. Are yours electric too? Any guys have experience of changing OR fixing the base to get rid of this issue? or is it best to get garage to look at it? Helps appreciated...

They said it could be fixed mate. I don't know how. They just replaced base.. Find a good specialist who can check it or hopefully find a guide
To repair..

Might be worth adjusting the the door striker to a higher position, so that the door is held up higher , especially if rattling when going over bumps.

Anyone know the correct spline tool /size for the door striker ?

I had an issue with a very slight seat movement to the sides on the drivers seat and was only noticeable around corners. Originally they couldn't find anything wrong with it but after some persistence they replaced the seat base which resolved it for me. This was on a 2014 A4 and was done under warranty.
