As the title really, should I be getting any turbo flutter (compressor stall) from my 1.8 qts? If I have the window down I can hear a definite chatter on gear changes.. Is this normal or is my dv on it's way out?

If my dv is tired could this be loosing me power?

I I've got a splitter R valve and I thought this was normal? It certainly got louder after K&N was installed

If it was me id just replace the vac line and DV it will be reassuring that its ok and if original vac line its got a nice new one that wont fall apart in the near future, when the vac line split on mine the compressor stall was instantly noticeable on mine to the point i pulled over and were it connects to the DV it had teared at the nipple luckily i was round the corner from my house so just took it easy home cut some vac line and refitted it, if the vac line is ok its no doubt the diaphram will be torn/perished inside the DV.

Mine isn't as loud as some i've heard on youtube and nowhere near as loud as my nissan where I run no dv at all. It's almost like a sneeze on gear change. Sounds good but don't think it's right.

I service my splitter R regularly, it's more of a horse sound lol

Checked the hoses today and they were well past their best. Now replaced with new oem style hose. This hasn't fixed anything so the dv is next :)

The hose to the fpr was crazy brittle and snapped while removing it...

I used Silicone pipes for all that sorta stuff

Fitted a 710n dv and now the flutter has gone, car seems a touch smoother and pulls a little better. Need to plumb in a boost gauge now to check that's as it should be as it's still down on power I think.

Where do people t off for the gauge? Fpr line or other?
