When I called about a car I liked, the chap I spoke to couldnt be more helpful - he gave you a confident feeling you were dealing with a professional retailer. However, upon sealing a deal, within 48 hours the car developed a fault, whereby the A/C stopped working. I contacted BR Cars to tell them, and their reply was, claim on the warranty we gave you. I checked the warranty, and the part isnt covered. I have checked with Trading Standards, and a dealer has a duty of care to repair any fault within 6 months. This happened within 48 hours, and they will not accept responsibility. I have given them plenty of opportunity to do something, but nothing at all from them.
The cost of the repair was £300, which I have had to pay for out of my own pocket! They havent even bothered to reply, when I said I would be happy for them to pay just for the part (£100) - Its a shame really, as they seemed such nice guys... Just beware if you do buy a car from here they wont want to know if it get a fault, so haggle haggle haggle on price!
