Hi,

does anyone have a table what alloys/tyres I can use on my A8 D3? I have tyres 245/45/18 at the moment. Not sure of alloys size. I consider buying second hand TT rottors 9Jx20 ET25 with thres 275/30/20 Would it work at all?

I think they did 275/35/20 on the wider 9j 20" final edition alloys the 19" alloys are 255/40/19 so it looks like they go down 5 in profile every inch bigger the alloy, another way would to use an online tyre size calculator, I use on e on my phone and it comes in useful for stuff like this.

Hi, I worked out all the sizes. Now I'm wondering what would be a difference in ride comfort when changing from 245/45/18 to 255/35/20?

The ride will be a lot firmer as you loose all that sidewall hight, I'd also be aware that you'll be prone to cracking alloys if the correct pressures aren't used, just something to keep in mind

I have 275 35 20 on mine.
Although they look epic the ride is a tad firm.
Not as bad as BMW E60 5 series on runflats

The S8 standard tyre is 265/35/20 but many (including me) fit a 275/35/20. There's a little more profile so a fractionally more comfortable ride, there's a greater selection of tyres and they're usually slightly cheaper too.
