Fitted my s2000 filter today I'm a bit disappointed as I was expecting a coooo noise as this was the main reason for fitting and has not happened lol. It's strange as my mates car is identical with same mods and he's got it.

Choo is exhaust not filter...upgraded filter will only get you a turbo flutter/chatter like on a petrol...choo is exhaust have you both exact same exhausts?

Yeah pretty much exact same system straight through no boxes or cat and he had no chooo noise untill he fitted the filter though.

Where's the little filler that you put a the pipe that goes into the old air box

Ive always know that noise to come from the exhaust. Have you noticed any improvements?

Sorry Vr6GORDY I don't understand your question can you clarify a little bit please and I'm.stumped as to why I don't get no chooo noise then the only difference between me and my mates is engine codes as mentioned my system has nothing in it all the way to the tips. Strange..........

Looks interesting mate.

Is there a heat shield going in and is it connected to the original tubo to airbox pipe?

When I fitted my k and n i got a little breather filter that goes on a thick plastic pipe I can't see yours anywhere

Do you mean the breather pipe that comes off the original turbo pipe 'vr6gordy if so it's still doing the same job I just cut the original inlet pipe to the turbo back quite a bit and slipped a joiner in and then put my silicone 45 into that. I'm getting a heat shield fabbed up off a mate to go between turbo and piping.

Yeah

Well, that's just lost you some hp, sucking all that hot air from turbo will make the induction air mass much less. Looks nice though.

Do you get the ECHO effect from it all being so rigid?

No echo just a slight induction roar little disappointed to be honest lol I do get turbo flutter the odd time pulling up my drive which sounds good

Dont get much induction noise on diesels.just more whistle off the turbo if anything. any gains? i get lots of chatter with a panel filter.

I had a pipetcross panel filter and their was no auditable difference or any other difference either lol

Same for me. Possible a little more whistle from the turbo but certainly no chatter.

No exhaust mods for me,just panel filter and remap.ill try get some videos.everytime i change gear if i want it to do it.i get a ppssssstttt on gear change and chatter if coming off BOOOSST lol. saving for a gopro.

Ro55 yours is a PD130 right? I can't imagine a remap will make much difference to it. Pipercross filter? I want chatter noises!!

what diameter is the silicone bend? and what size of small filter is required? looking at fitting a K&N cone

Yes pd130 pipercross panel filter customcode remap with a few tweaks
Egr delete with allard pipe.and decat, ill try get some videos

Ah you have a decat too, that will probably help to get a bit more noise no?

It done it before i had the decat.i thought having the decat stopped it.but it never and the decat ive not really noticed much deifference either, only diesel smell on startup.

It's a 45 degrees 3" bend and I don't have the small filter 'vr6 gordy mentioned I left it to vent to the rocker but I'm thinking about a catch can now when my custom hard pipes are finished to stop the build up of oil in them. The filter is a little bit more throaty and I do get a very slight dump hissing noise on let up off pedal but it's hard to hear over my hybrid as it makes a shhhhhhhh noise all the time lol.
