Hi everyone, I've just bought a AUDI a5 2.7tdi 59 plate. It's fully loaded and its a nice car to be in. However Im just wondering if there is any tunning potential. I'm looking to get around 250/260bhp

From custom remap, dpf remove, straight through exhaust.

Is this possible?

Thanks. Will upload pics when I get on my Mac thanks.

A big limitation with this engine is the standard turbo that is fitted which is a GTB1756VK . You could change it for a GTB2260VK and this will supply a lot more air without pushing the turbo. It makes 240bhp as standard on a 3.0 TDI.
They are plug and play and you can pick them up quite cheaply if you search on Fleabay.
I bought a perfectly good one off a Q5 from Germany for £230 and that included the postage.
I used this as the basis of the hybrid I have had made for my 3.0 TDI.
Had a quick look on flea bay, A lot of sellers seem to do these mark down things now on E-bay. If they have been on there a while they knock 20% off for a period.

This is a better option I think. So won't it need anything else like bigger inter cooler etc ? Or will it work out just by its self with nothing else needed!

Sorry for my lack of knowledge!

It needs mapping of course, The 2.7TDI uses the same intercooler as the 3.0 TDI so I would say that you would probably be good with the standard one at 250-260 bhp. If you wanted to change it I would recommend the Mishimoto J line which is what I use on my car.
Fairly easy to fit just needs some silicone hoses, clips and some joiners.
