Hello,

While I'm driving along my dsg box is rocking so to speak, the revs will drop slightly and pick back up and make it rock, happens at steady throttle. Any ideas or fixes??

Cheers

Also when i just casually accelerate out of a junction or something as it picks up revs, it will stop building up for a millisecond like its losing boost

Is this happening at low speeds...mine selects 2nd a bit early sometimes and the outcome is similar to the above

1100-1500 ish, gonna service it and see how it goes

If physically rocking then check mountings.
It's rocking as in the engine is dropping the Revs up and down and making it jerk, gonna service it and go from there mate

If the revs are dropping sounds like an air leak to be honest, then the box is a consequence of that?

Narrowed it down a bit an it does this violent jerking motion is when I'm in first and second accelerating slowly Like in traffic or what not, and also in 4th sometimes, it's as if it's trying to change up or down like it doesn't know what to do, could it be the mechatronic unit maybe?

The mechatronic issues will show up in reverse gear backing up a hill. Same thing, jerky drive.

Quick update, had the dsg serviced for £150 from audi and feels a million times smoother because the last time it was done according to paperwork I have was 08! but still have this slight rock mostly at light throttle. Need to fix the oring on the inter cooler and give the sticky vanes a sort out as I had an over boosting fault a while back

sure this is not the traction control kicking in???
I been told mounts are know to go a lot on a3. its right under the gear box a big ring with a dog bone connected to the gearbox.
