Hi guys

New to the A5 section but been a regular over on the A4 b6 forum for a few years but at the weekend I said good bye to old faithful:

2015-04-18%2013.22.49_zpsql1o0a4q.jpg

a 1.9TDi with 155k miles on it.

And said hello to:

2015-04-19%2010.06.00_zpskqcfoikg.jpg

3.0TDi with considerably less than 155k miles on the clock.

Some subtle mods will be happening but nothing much just now because it doesn't need much.

So Hello guys and prepare for my daft questions!

Mod number one is to get those wheels off partially because they are 17s and also because they have winter tyres on.

To be replaced with:

Hi Again Ian, love the wheels. They will look awesome on the new car. Enjoy. :) x

I was just about to do some vcds tweeks and my brother phoned to say he had snapped his hand brake cable and any chance i could fix it today!!!! Got it done so vcds will need to wait till another day.

Cheers guys. Only other mod for just i think will be a window tint then i think I'm finished from a looks point of view.

Well thats a set of bixenon/led headlights ordered. Just need to hope they fit!!!

I know the feeling mate, just when I saw the pic I thought back to when I joined this forum, spent a lot of time reading in detailing section, think I bought everything that others recommended and ended up with a load of stuff I hardly used, it's getting used now though, my son's vw polo is gleaming, think the only thing he's bought is new mf cloths.

Thanks Paul. So easy to do it would be rude not to.

Just finished fitting my OEM LED DRL/Bixenons and all working as it should so now the car lights like they all should have done from the factory.

I would stick some pics up but the battery on my phone died so I'll get some up later!

So popped in to Glasgow Audi today to order a dipstick for my car to be told they don't do one. I pressed them and they admitted that if the car had been older they could provide one but because mine didn't come with one they can't supply it even though it is the same engine!!!!! They have escalated it to audi uk to see if they will approve the dipstick for my engine.

I also asked about getting the component protection removed from my replacement central electrics module to be told they would charge £60 to diagnose the problem then provide a price to fix it. So £60 to confirm what i have already said then no doubt the same again to fix no thanks. Local indy will do it for the price of the diagnostic thank you very much.

Its ok Glasgow Audi have called back and Audi Uk have authorised them to sell me a dipstick. I half expect to get handed a salesman when i go in tomorrow and say 'I'm here to pick up a dipstick'
