BW 25, 26, 27 & 28

Sods law - Apparently it has gone to status 20 overnight - with 5 weeks to go before build, does that sound about right or just dealer being too lazy to change spec and resend me the paperwork?

(Not really fussed anyway, B&O would have been nice though...)

Not sure what you have done with your order or what "status 20" means...are you saying you changed spec to get a car already being built?
 
Think it's an internal Audi reference to where on the production process it is, status 10 means that changes can be made (probably pre component orders - eg ACC sensors etc) and once these are in hand, it goes to status 20 - locked no changes permitted...... Probably means that they don't end up with a load of spare mag ride components knocking about the factory!
 
Sorry to answer the question, no, I asked for a few changes to my original build spec, and overnight it had been locked on status 20 before the dealer could input them.... So I have to stick with the original spec.... Which tbh is no real hardship....!

Still BW25 (and trying to get my Audi order number so I can track status via "Your Audi"

Dealer doesn't seem too keen on giving me my Audi order number, says it's not important to me.

Requested mine yesterday and still waiting for a response. TBH will be a fairly low priority for the dealer, will chase in a couple of days
 
Is your order number not on on any of your paperwork? I found mine on my order form and deposit receipt.

No, I have a dealership order number on my deposit receipt and order form but no Audi 8 digit number

That's rediculous mate!

My order number wasn't on the invoice either but I emailed the dealer and he came back with it in a few hours.
 
Checked with dealer today and my build week 27 is still sitting at Status 10 - he actually sent me screen print from the order system on email to show me .... thought it should be at status 20 by now ....
 
Come on Audi. Move my build week forward by just one more week, and I can be in this über cool club.

I'd give audi customer service a ring and they'd be able to give you the order number.

4-5 weeks sounds right although if you really want the b&o you could cancel that and order another... Most reputable garages won't mind too much.
 
No o/no on my order form or receipt. I'll email the dealer and ask. As I understand it's created once thy confirm a build date so as my order was resubmitted i'd get a new number. Now my new build date confirmed I should get a number.
 
Tell them if he doesn't get you the order number you will be cancelling the order. IMO he won't be giving you it as he has probably lied at the delivery date to make the sale, possibly. Happened to my at Manchester Audi
 
Yes! Build week has moved forward by one more week and I'm now in the BW25262728 club, the most exclusive of all clubs.
 
Does anyone know when your car changes to status 20 - does it change anything on YourAudi ?
 
I got told it is 4 weeks before the specified build week. YourAudi doesn't seem to give too much info in pre-build, so I doubt it will say anything on there. Best to call the dealership methinks.

Yeah agree with that. It's been showing 'Your S3 Saloon will begin construction on 6 July 2015' on mine for the last few weeks!

Then low and behold, after being told by the dealer yesterday I'm locked for BW28 I log on this morning and get greeted with this:

Your S3 Saloon will begin construction on 29 June 2015 !!!

I know it's only a week but .......................................... yeah baby, go go go...................... !!!! ;)

Got my Audi order number yesterday and website is telling me parts "in perparation" and no build date confirmed on the website. Unlike Simon who has a confirmed build start date after my nominal date whilst the dealer still saying I am BW25.

Does seem the website is a bit hit and miss

It's very hit and miss Dave and I don't think anyone should take it as gospel.

The dealer said to me yesterday they had an order that was supposedly just built and ready to transport and it turned up at the showroom the next day! ;)

Yea, not to concerned TBH as long as I get my hands on it by 30th July as really want to take it away in hols with me

Its quite hit and miss for most but so far its accurate for me. Im on the third tab "preparation" and my order is locked. These are my assumptions so far:

Mine went from:
  1. Welcome (just like a holding screen basically ordered but no BW yet),
  2. Order Received (this is where it use to say Your A3 Sportback will begin construction on 8 June 2015),
  3. Preparation (changed the same time my dealer told me its now code 20)
Thing is if i click on the "order received" it just says Your A3 Sportback has joined the production line and the date is gone now....
 
Well my week 27 build is still at status 10 so should be 20 soon I hope as that's 4 weeks tomorrow
 
I have just had an email confirming status 20.
Also my car will be getting build w/c 22nd June.
They said arrive around end of July. So I have told them I don't want it to be registered until 1st sept.
 
Anybody who is BW 25 with a HB/SB had any updates so far? My lease company have only said its being built this week and delivery mid july. Which i already knew. Was hoping for bit more detail. Will probably give audi customer service a call later on

The youraudi app has not worked for me ever since it was released. Keeps saying service is unavailable. When i give them a call il see if they can help me get that working.
 
I have built week 25 for my Audi A3 E-tron , so i called my car dealer to get information about the status today.
He could tell me this morning that the car now was on the production line in the "bodywork" department at Ingolstadt, and should be finished during the week. :yahoo: So the car should as planned be in Bergen (Norway) mid July, and i will get my A3 E-tron in beginning of August when back from vacation.:racer::grinning:

According to the online tracker my car is being built....in the panel shop

Just need a tune from Sandra now to start the final countdown

Oh boy am I excited :yes:
 
Mine is at the "coming together" stage now.

I wonder if it "comes together" quicker than anticipated thanks to German efficiency, whether the build week might be advanced just a little bit more?
 
No real update on mine, other than coming together (been that way since I joined up to Your Audi 3 weeks ago). Finance finally sorted with the dealer...... feels like forever, although if the BW 27 stays the same, I think i'll probably leave it for collection on 1st September..... unless they make me an offer I cant refuse (and by that I mean ££££ vs an Audi Umbrella!)

I think i'll have my eye on my next car by the time this one arrives. The self-enforced 6 month wait is backfiring.

And got someone test driving/viewing my current car on Sunday

Well since the order was resubmitted to prevent really early delivery I haven't got the choice now, although not sure if "1st week in July" means i'm week 27 or 28. Once i've waited months no point in bringing forward a week or two when can get a 65 plate.

Dealer actually just emailed me to say, if it was him, he'd wait the extra few weeks (about 3 or 4 in my case) to get the newer plate.....

In other words, I've smashed my target already for July so don't really give a damn!!!

New car is now being assembled, old car has just been sold and fairly close to asking price, sun is shining......
