I picked up one of these brand new recently cheap (still need to get the airbag for it :( ) how hard would it be to fit it to a b6 3.0 tip quattro?

bump?

no one fitted one of these before? Just don't want to fit it and have the airbag go off straight away

dont think the airbag will be the issue
itll be the other parts such as voice recognition and volume when scrolling through the menus you may not have the
correct parts or modules to install them properly and code them up correctly

it was the airbag I was worried about. I need to find out which one to get and also pick up vagcom for when the time comes.

I'm not so much bothered about the voice command stuff as I doubt i'd use it. My car currently has the (not so nice) 4 spoke wheel with:

volume up/down
next track/previous
next cd/previous

functions on it which I do use quite a lot. Hopefully the new wheel will still work those functions and the tiptronic/paddleshift can be made to work. I lost a good thread that said it should be straight forward, just needs enabling in vagcom.

its been a while since I last did any soldering....

anyone know of any threads with a how to for this, and the wiring?
