Help, audi a6 mmi 2g high DVD Sat nav
ive bought from ebay a dab unit with connectors and an aerial (Superbat)
Know how to install the dab unit , but dont want to use the superbat , but use the aerial in the screen that comes with the avant.
Seen a couple of instructives where "in line " amplifiers are used ? Are these necessary?
Above the main units there are four sockets that appear to line in/out feeds is one of these the window aerial feed?
 
You will need an Audi dab antenna, which is fitted behind the right hand side trim on the C pillar. You will also need a fakra cable to go between the the Antenna & dab unit. The main aerial amp with the 4 sockets are for AM/FM only. Search the A6 forum there was a resent post with a DAB retrofit.

I think on the Avant the aerial is already in the side window glass.

The glass wire is there, but you would have to buy the antenna/amplifier as shown in the image below.
