Hi guys ive been looking around for a leather interior for my 57 plate a3 sportback, the ones that do come up are silly prices compared too similar audi a5 ones, one listing on eBay for a 2011 a5 interior says it will fit an audi a3 from the year 2004,is this correct?
Is it a straight fit or will it need modification to fit? Thanks in advance guys

Or would a new audi sportback interior fit into a 57 plate one aswell? Just trying to broaden my options, cheers

I'm sure they will fit but with maybe some modification? I doubt they will be a straight swap

Cheers Scott, if thats the case ill be buying some newer audi a3 leather seats as they seem to sell for cheaper for some reason

people HAVE put a5 seats into an a3, so whether or not its difficult, its definitely possible, and in my opinion, do it! I love those seats

Thanks for your response pal, I agree they look better but ideally I want some seats that will just fit in with messing about, I was hoping I would get some response from people that had put newer a3 seats into their a3,because if its a straight fit ill be buying a 2014 interior to go into my 57 plate

AFAIK the front is a straight swap, it is the rears that need some fettling...

You need to put the rears in as well, otherwise you have mismatched leather design patterns that looks pretty dire.

Ive been told some of the wiring/looms needs adapting for the front seats?

I really want to do this, but unfortunately havent the physical ability currently to play around with the rears to get them in.

If I do do this, I will have a full mint 2012 heated leather interior up for sale.

I wouldn't give a damn about my rears not lookin like my fronts if I had A5 buckets in :)

my current seats are fabric anyway

The A5 seats arent buckets.....and there is no account for taste. mismatched seats in a £20K car? come on, be real :)

I know they're not actual buckets but they're more buckety than my standard sports :) I'd be more than happy with a pair in mine, as the saying goes, each to their own
