So just wondering what the best way to mount the number plate was? Thinking of getting a short 6 digit plate put on but the standard plate is made to fit standard size plates. is it possible to trim down the number plate backing bit?

Basically after a similar look to this:

Any ideas or methods of achieving this look? Thanks

I just fitted mine the other day and the genuine mounting position is the same position on the good replic grill.

I quite liked the look of having it mounted lower down on the grill but then the crash bar stands out too much, even wth it being painted black.

I really liked the look of it side mounted but I couldn't put it there as the xenon headlight washers prevented it being mounted there.

How did you mount it? I have a short plate that I'd like to mount on the grill but the standard number plate mount is full size

Sorry to hi-jack a little, But does a genuine RS3 grill fit a facelift S3..? If not where is the best place to get a good replica designed for a S3..?

I have a five digit trimmed down plate on mine, and use 2 cable ties to secure the plate at the bottom of the grill, I just drilled two small holes through the digits on the plate and you can hardly tell they are there.

Strap that, Just checked your thread, Where did you get it from..?

Grill was from Broadster/Brotek, I believe he supplies the xenonz grills which are the very high quality rs rep grills
