Hi has anyone used this? How good do you find it a couple of months later? Are the wheels extremely easy to clean now? Thanks

I don't know about GTECHNIQ and I am not really a great detailing buff but after looking around on the net at reviews and stuff I bought some wheel cleaner and wheel seal.
For the wheel cleaner bought some Bilt Hamber auto wheel, couldn't believe how well it cleaned the wheels up easily removing a lot of ingrained brake dust and leaving the wheels so clean, also great on the calipers using the supplied brush.

Then used some planet polish wheel seal and shine. Again very impressed when I cleaned the wheels the brakes dust/ dirt just washed off with the jet wash and looked like new again, very impressive.

Hey Sharkey,

Speaking from experience, I love C5. I first applied it to me A1's wheels in September last year, ready for winter. Right through till April (when I sold it), it was still beading water on my wheels.

To answer your question, it made wheel cleaning far easier, I found I don't really need a big wheel brush to agitate dirt, just a small one to lightly brush & get in and around the bolts and centre cap. Gtechniq claim up to two years of durability. However, these things are always subject to conditions, mileage etc, but I'm a heavy (makes me sound fat!) driver and found that with a pressure washer most dirt falls off after each wash. I still use a a spot of Bilberry wheel cleaner and once a month some IronX, but it's an easier task.

Hope this helps :)

Matt.

Thanks for that Matt. I've got EXO ready for the paintwork, was going to just use that in the wheels too! Undicided on getting c5 also. It's good to know you can still use iron remover and wheel cleaner and not erect the coating much.

Is c5 really easy to use? Like not any chance of making a mess of it

Yeah - anyone can do it. Watch the video on the product page, http://www.slimsdetailing.co.uk/gtechniq-c5-wheel-armour-15ml.html.

Simple as a dab or two on the applicator, applying over all areas of the wheel (for the really meticuluous, you can take the wheel off and do the inside too) and just make sure you cover all areas. As quick as you've applied it. Cover your steps with a nice soft & clean microfibre towel and buff the wheel. That's it!

Equally - you can use EXO on the wheels too. Same process as above :)
