Impulse buy this week, found hints on the net that this caliper combined with a 345mm disc and splashguards are a straight fit to the B8?

Well, I suppose I'll find out soon, car is in for a service tomorrow so I'll get under and offer them up and see how they look, need to get them stripped down and away for powder coating after that.

I spotted the same calipers on Fleabay several months ago.

After looking into them I decided that they would probably only fit 320mm disks. This is what they are used with on the Q5.

If you look at how far the caliper mounting bracket protrudes on the S4/ S5 345mm calipers it doesn't seem to be far enough on the Brembo items. I might be wrong, not sure why they don't fit 345mm brakes on the SQ5.
Appears they have gone for an uprated 320mm brake. Maybe they were trying to keep the unsprung weight down on the wheel.

I thought it may be the 320, but most disc selectors differentiate between Brembo and Non Brembo calipers and identify the Brembo as 345mm, either way it should upgrade the pedal feel and look at a minimum.

I'll get a good look in the morning when its up on the ramps and take some measurements.

I'm confused I've seen brembos for 320 disks? Would seem odd for the Q5 to also have 344 brembos with an almost identical part number?

Yep. looks like these are 320, the only difference looks to be the mounting points being further out for the 345 version.

Looking at other sites yes they go straight on the B8 A4/S4 with matching disk size 320/345mm.

For A4's the 320mm versions seem readily available and cheap.

The standard calipers on a 320mm or 345mm disc are single pot sliding calipers.

What I am struggling to find at the moment is a decent pad for the caliper, a multitude of part numbers on Partbase suggesting a 8r0698151e amongst others but nothing coming out of that for a fast road equivalent, I'm trying to work out what the base vehicle the caliper came from and looks like it might be a 2013 Q5 2.0 Hybrid.

Just using this thread as a bit of a dumping ground for info I stumble on, hopefully of some use to someone finding it in a search:

Compatible pads with the 320mm Setup:

VAG OEM: 8R0698151E
MINTEX: MDB3314/25643
HELLA PAGID: 8DB355020241
PAGID: T2213
TEXTAR: 2564302

They take a 30mm disc.

Well, after more hassle than I care to remember the calipers are eventually back from the painters, long story of lies, buffoonery and deceit, despite the foibles the paint finish is top quality and the logo's are stencilled on rather than decal's.
Hopefully get them fitted shortly.

If you search by the pad outline number 25643 you may find some more pads.

Amazon product

EBC seem to do a yellowstuff pad DP42168R for Brembo calipers on the Q5, However can't find a pad outline.

Interesting stuff
Are you going to trial fit them with S4 rotors?

Using a set of 320mm Black Diamond rotors.

Ok cheers mate.

Located the 8R0615107E & 8R0615108E (front brembos 345x30 Q5 ) for £613.73inc.vat from Audi :)

Does anyone know if the pads are the same for both the calipers in this thread?
EBC list them as being the same part numbers for Yellow stuff

Cheers

Is that for a pair of calipers or each ?

They are around £315 each from here

so that would be about right with the price you have. I would contact TPS if you are serious about getting these you should be able to get them cheaper, even a 10% discount is worth £60.

They will be the same pad for the two calipers.
Awesome GTI sell some nice discs in a standard size but can be pricey.

Fitting the brembo calipers, ECS two piece discs, yellow stuff pads would probably work out half the price of a BBK but would provide a very good upgrade over the standard system.

Afternoon

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I just came across this and I am looking to do the same conversion. My question is can you use the original pad wear sensors or do these have to be replaced for ones for the Brembo calipers/pads?
