Nogaro Blue S1

My dealer wanted to sell me a stock model, they had two sepang and two yellow, I didn't want either color anyway but the worst of it was the only options all 4 cars had was SS seats and privacy glass. No Bose or tech pack or even comfort pack. I politely declined.....
 
More "yellow" the better. Children will have a good game of "spotto" that's if they are quick enough to see one. "yellow" really suits the S1..

Here is a quick pic of the car with the summers. Hopefully next weekend I will get to clay and wax the car.

I don't get why they don't spec the cars up so much more desirable, ObVsly its to do with money
 
They would probably sell them anyway, but to some poor soul that will realise his mistake 6 months later or when he/she comes to resale.

Just a matter of interest since yours is LHD..and I couldn't see the side mirrors in all your photos. Has your driver side mirror got a vertical split for wider view?
I thought the side mirror with the "split" should be on the passenger side for safer overtaking?

Yes, the vertical split is on the driver's side and it was the same way for my other Audi. Not really sure if it's better suited for the passenger side since I actually turn and look at my blind spots on my passenger side. You need the wider view on drivers side since you don't turn and look at your blind spots on the driver's side.
 
Thanks "Struttgartrob", sounds logical, I will have to get use to it as all my other cars are different to the S1. Or I could by a LHD's driver side mirror to put on my S1, then both side mirrors will have a wider view?
 
Received my springs today H&R 28806-1. They will be installed on June 1st

25mm front
30mm rear

looking forward to some pics with the springs fitted , is the rest of suspension stock ?
 
Yes, I plan on leaving the rest of the suspension stock. I have a dedicated track car so no need to upgrade for my DD.
 
soon as they are on get some pics up , is the drop same as sportback ?
 
what do you think ? i fancy both but dont want to spoil my audi warrenty , might just get intake for now

It pulls very hard now. Stock the car is alot of fun but now its so hard to drive normal. On the way to Revo I avg. 28 mpg(top speed 240 km/h) and on the way back 25 mpg(top speed 270km/h). . It just keeps on wanting to go. I thought about the warranty part also but I guess if I do break something I will just have to upgrade to better parts. I already was talking to them about there Turbo upgrade so we will see where I am at in couple months.

Next things on my list are;

H&R Springs
17x8 OZ Ultraleggrras and 235/40-17 Semi Slicks
HJS Downpipe
Wagner Intercooler (still in Development for the S1)
Clutch

Has the HJS downpipe been developed for the S1 yet. I was going to wait for the APR downpipe but it is taking forever and a day. @Stuttgartrob

I come from tuning Japanese cars so all these companies for German cars are new to me. I have to say not looking forward to spending 2000 euro for an exhaust. I spent less than that on my Titanium Exhaust and it was 13 kg lighter than stock.

Its exactly what I wanted, I didn't want a big Drop. The car will see alot of the Nurburgring this summer so I didn't want to scrape in the Karussell. This is probably my 7th set of H&R springs so I'm a bit biased since I always come back to them for Springs.
 
I did find a place that had the H&R Springs for 145 euro Shipped too. Most other places they were around 200 euro shipped.

I never been at or on the Nurnburgring but I Will go and take a look this summer it's not so far from belgium ...let me know when you go and maybe whe can meet !

I will let you know, the Ring is alot of fun I have about 325 laps under my belt.
 
Well looks like the Wagner Intercooler is on hold til end of the year.

The Reply I just got from Wagner to clarify what my tuner said;

Hello Robert, thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately the A1 IC don`t fit on the S1 frown emoticon

We`ll start a engineering for a upgrade IC for the S1 till the end of this year.
