what a start to a day

ive already had to leave due to a coilpack issue and now my brakes have died

seems to be fluid in there (rbf660)
but pedal goes right to the floor?

what could do this

bedford
but im not exactly on trackday atm lol

I'd check all the brake hoses, make sure there isn't any splits, especially in the rear lines.
What was the Coilpack issue about? You had them renewed recently?

no i went to get some and problem solved

pedal feel is now back im guessing i boiled the fluid???

How long has the fluid been in the car and are you sure all the old fluid was removed when it was changed. Brake fluid is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture, If the fluid gets hot enough the water boils and you end up with a soft pedal.
Usually these issues are resolved by fully bleeding the sytem and replacing the fluid. Difficult to do at a track day but it sounds like you have other issues. that are not fixable at the track.

I'd be very surprised if you boiled RBF660 tbh. I'd wager it's something else that's failing on your brake set up first or as said above old fluid....RBF660 should be changed every year unlike the RBF600 which can suffice the regular 2 year intervals

put 2 ltrs through it within the last 2 months?

What's the rest of your brake set up again other than the RBF660 fluid?

If you have your pedal feel back and everything seems back to normal it sounds as though you had heat fade. How long were you on track for before this occurred?

As above then I wouldn't have thought you have bolied that if you put 2ltrs in 2 months ago. Look for leaks that may have let air in.

pedal is back had a mechanic/instructor look at it

says its cuz the pads first heat cycle?

nope. pads (which should have been bedded in first!) would go hard pedal not long pedal...
long pedal is fluid

i had beeded them in as the instructions stated bill

i was also under the impression fluid

he said the pads go soft in 1st heat cycle
the glue goes soft and the material goes soft and i should let them cool for an hour

Although it's a good fluid, it's still easy enough to boil rbf660 of you try hard enough.

Brakes still very much need to be managed IMO. Even for general track day fun.

tbh nick after a few sessions with the coach guy it seems im using the brakes far to much in between bends which were taken faster at consistant speeds over the on off driving i was doung if you see what i mean

Isn't RBF660 pretty much the best commercial brake fluid available on the market other than castrol srf or have I overlooked some other products?

Few mates of mine are extremely heavy on brakes round the track and also run 660 and have never boiled them tbh :-/
