RS3 8V Orders List

2.5% is a realistic target for the average punter. You might get a bit more if you push really hard and have an existing relationship. Given you've got 3.5% you're doing quite well!

That's what I was thinking... Might just take it while it's there as I'm being told July delivery too! The hardest part is the trade off for what to spec within my budget. I.e Dynamic pack or tech pack?!

I think I would go Dynamic over Tech personally. Be great if you could spec the sports exhaust without the mag ride but hey ho!

That's my gut feeling too... Figured SD NAV will be adequate and can add it later on. RS3 Design pack anyone?

I swapped the tech pack with connect for the sound and comfort pack and the design pack. Already had the dynamic pack. After the change the car came forward 10 weeks!

I'm just going to add the sd nav at a later date.

I'm going down to my dealer tomorrow. We have quite a good relationship and have 18 Audi's over the past 15 years.
I'm hoping I can also get nearer the 5.5% discount mark.
I will be trading in an A1 2.0 TDI and hope to get £1000 back from that. I'm hoping that with a discount and the value from the A1 to have around £3000 deposit towards the RS3.

What do you reckon on a £44K RS3, 10,000 miles or slightly less, 4 years. I'm hoping to be around the £550pcm mark, do you reckon this is feasible?

Dave.

What does this mean?

You hope to get £1000 back from the A1... And then you want to top that up with £2k from your own pocket, or you want the dealer to discount £2k off and you put nothing down as a deposit from your pocket?

I got 5% off from Crewe Audi. Really pleased with that but I pretty much called every dealer group in the country and played them off against each other. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne but they are getting me train tickets down in the deal. You'll be around 550 a month with that price and mileage on your car I think.

£43,290 OTR
Nardo, Comfort & sound, Dynamic, Black Styling
£566/month 15k miles 48 months
£3250 in and £1500 dealer contribution
£19k final payment
Possibly throwing in Sat Nav too

I think VWFS must have adjusted the GFV as when I did a quote for 15k miles p.a. it was only £15,600 final payment (as you also mentioned earlier in this thread). What did you do to get it up to £19k?

Thought this might come up ;)

I'd run the quote with dealership couple of weeks ago and they'd also said £15,600 but when using online finance calculator it came up as £19,066- got them to check it. They discussed with area manager for VWFS and there'd been an error on the internal system and online was correct. Worth checking again!

Had an email from Manchester Audi and the salesman we have always dealt with.... He tells me they'll give us a good discount if we'll come down and place an order, he said when I pushed that 9% would be achievable, seeing as we had bought so many cars from them in the past.
Sounds like they are trying to win our custom back........

I've had a conversation with my dealer yesterday that's similar to what he was offering plus an over book px on my s5 looks like they're struggling to meet their targets

Probably had people cancelling because of the lead times Audi are giving.

Or confirmation of the Golf R420 is giving them jitters!

9% is definitely achievable! I got that on the first day of ordering

How!?
9/10 other people struggled to get 1%.
Now 3-5% is doable if you shop around or have a long term relationship with your dealer.

9% is going on double what is currently the normal max, so what did you do so special!?

All depends on the dealer I'd say

Although we have spent some money in the past with ours, they don't want us going to Stafford for one

You got 5.77%. plus 50% because you're only buying half the car:scared2:

But that's my point. I have more than the average punters relationship with my dealer (business goes both ways) and got that. Yet it seems other dealers are giving 9% with relative ease, which surprises me as Audi UK/AG impose strict limits on what dealers can discount.

..still doesn't give my order a build week, even after being accepted by the factory. It's feeling kinda weird now as new orders on here are getting one...?

I may go to Slough tomorrow where I had 3 cars off them in 2 yrs ('12 A4 (but only had it a few weeks did not like the drive at all), '62 S3 and '63 A5) and see what they come up with. Slough loaned me an S7 because S3 was delayed by 1 week :)

I worked really hard to get to 3.5% and decided it wasn't enough I'd rather wait 6 months or so see one in the flesh and see if the discount goes up. If I had managed 9% I would have placed an order though.

do I look like the kinda guy that relies on discount :)..... I want an BW

Jose you jumped in feet first and ordered straight away, if it had been a limited number of cars I would of done the same just to get the spec I wanted and if I didn't like the car when delivered I would of sold it straight away at no loss or even a profit,

I realise as an early adopter I'm not going to get decent discount. But I always order pre production cars. My gripe is normally ~10% discount doesn't appear until the first ones have been delivered.
I'm not overly fussed, it's not like I'm going to renegotiate, but it concerns me that dealers are already pulling their pants down - it will affect residual values in the long run.

We are in times of financial uncertainty and things aren't selling like they used to those boom and bust days are long gone .Youve ordered you're car got your build slot there's always gonna be someone that gets a different deal to you whether it's better or worse as long as you're happy that's the main thing.

Hi, I've noticed a lot of you are PX'ing your old cars. Anyone in the Yorkshire area we would be interested in buying your Audis etc upto 4 years old 40k miles. PM me if interested, our website is http://www.prestigeperformancecars.co.uk based in Selby North Yorkshire.

I am assuming you buy out right as well as PX?

I am looking at selling my car, but will go as far as PX or WBAC nearer the time if needs be.

So are you inferring that most of 'us' are 'average punters' ?

There are a lot of people on here that spend big amounts of their own money with Audi..... Consistently, because they are loyal to the brand, doesn't make you any different than them.

My point is not only am I a high value customer (as many people are, as you say), I also do various other business with my dealership beyond buying my personal cars. So yes, I am inferring that most of you are 'average punters' as all you do is buy a car every year or two and that yes I am different to that.

Anyway... Moving on. Hopefully residuals will remain strong and we'll all be happy!
