Well so much for being ran in, stopping to avoid hitting an A4 on the wrong side of the road I get rear ended by some guy on his phone!

That's awful!! I hope you weren't injured?

How's the boot floor?

That sucks. Fake whiplash and get some compensation as extra penalty for the idiot being on his phone.

Oh that sucks......

i hit a woman driving a mini clubman at walking pace last year in my Q5. Found out last week she is claiming for sickleave, physio, and whiplash. £300 worth of damage to her car. She's so far racked up £15K in compensation and bills - flipping joke.

Really sad to see this - hope you're ok ?

Looks like it could be just bolt on parts from the pics with just the new bumper needing paint.

Bad luck :(

Not that I'm saying you will but don't fake whiplash or rack up nonsense insurance claims... don't feed the litigious trolls!

Thanks guys, yeah the boot floor looks ok from top and from underneath so it should just be a new bumper and whatever pads it behind. Joking aside about the pain my neck does ****** hurt, hit me that hard my sunglasses ended up on the parcel shelf from wearing them!

Still could have been allot worse and fingers crossed the headache will be gone in the morning and I'll not be too stiff. Typical I do 200+ miles today in thunderstorms and 200yrds from home this happens.

It's terrible how people fake it, it does make you think though that if so many people do it does just one person not doing it really make a difference?

Hurt or not I don't have time to go to A&E so can't get it recorded but does make you think your missing out on an easy £4k or so doesn't it!

On the funny side though my new polish and stuff was waiting for me at home, don't think I'll be trying to buff that out...

Sorry to see this! Makes me think about ordering a rear cam as well as the dash cam...

Hope it's fixed soon. I used a company called accident exchange who fixed my TT at an approved body shop real quick after a pensioner in a Nissan Micra hit my 3 day year old car!! Note, this company is only good if the other party accept liability.

Could be worse, I saw this on Instagram earlier!

If he was on his phone, make a statement to the Police. Did they attend? If so he could well be stuck on for it based on that evidence, and as he caused an accident it SHOULD be for Dangerous Driving, or very least C&I.

Horrible thing to happen though buddy - I saw the Instagram pic above and thought I would be physically sick if that was mine!

Sorry to see that happen to you and your new car. There really are some idiots on the road.

Hope you are ok and get it all sorted out quickly and to your satisfaction.

Have you registered with Audi Ensurance by any chance? ( and no that wasn't a typo)?

The other guy will be for the high jump if or when it becomes known that he was on his mobile. People still do it!

People on here said Sepang Blue marks easily - I guess this proves it...

Fake whiplash claims are really a thing of the past, very hard to get money on whiplash claims nowadays and even when you do, they're insignificant. I had a genuine whiplash claim back in 2010, off work for around 10 days, neck in a brace, headaches, shoulders, the lot.

Hospital, doctors, physios, lots of paperwork, what an absolute ball ache. In the end I got £1600, started off at £650, rejected until final offer of £1600 where I was instructed by my solicitor to accept. That was after his cut, I believe the real figure was £2250.

To get bigger claims, you need to be off work for months and show that it disrupts your life, that's a hell of a lot of play acting to go through for a few grand. Since 2010, I hear things have become a lot stricter too.

Unless it's genuine and you can be assed with the aggro that comes with it, don't even bother about a whiplash claim (I don't think you are anyway by the sounds of it)

****** with the new car but looks like a relatively easy fix

Ouch - glad you are ok; even if a bit sore

Nice gallows humour but we all know & share the pain inside.

Ouch that's a zinger!

Yes that company contacted me today and I'm getting another S3 tomorrow. Repair will be done at chartwells and they specialise in Ferraris and Astons so will be looked after. Already confirmed that it will be the other companies full liability.

Nice that the body shop also said don't worry it won't be swirly, we know what sepang is like.

I know exactly how you feel. So many idiots on the road. Had my S3 10 mins and two 4x4 dicks nearly drove into it. One decided that whilst driving a freelander in the left lane that the middle lane i was in looked nicer. No mirror, no signal, sod let's move lanes . Another stupid woman in an x5 nearly rear ended my audi at some lighrs on a 40 mph dual carriageway. 36 hours later some **** in a freelander drove into the back of my car on its maiden voyage to work whilst on the m4

Now you know why I think people who drive 4x4s or suv's are selfish, inconsiderate, incompetent, blind idiots

Or... don't. Everyone pays for this kind of fraud, not just the guy who hit you.

You've done very well to get another S3, most companies would of given you a 5 series or similar. What company provided that?

I insure with a company called Clementine - they are a sister company to a body shop called Chartwells. they specialise in hyper cars and are imo superb for value. not the cheapest but will price match and you get lots more help than any other company. replacement car, legal aid and will only use genuine parts.

I generally had bad experiences with insurance but these are worth talking up. (so far anyway!)
