Kirkistown Trackskills, photos & possible BBQ - 24th May

Hi guys, hope you're all well!

As most of you will be aware, we have the BHPNI show coming up next Saturday, and while we've got a good stand together for the show, I understand that it's not everybody's cup of tea!

I've had a chat with @BrennanTDi and we've decided to have a meet on Sunday 24th May.

We'll meet at Tesco in Newtownards, then convoy down to the small picnic area/car park next to Ards Sailing Club on Portaferry Road, where we will get some photos next to Strangford Lough and (weather permitting) have a small BBQ.

After this, we'll head down the Ards Peninsula and on to Kirkistown race track just outside Kircubbin, where there will be a track day taking place. We'll watch the racing for a bit, walk the paddock chatting to the guys racing, and get some more photos whilst there.

This will hopefully be a great day out down around one of the most beautiful parts of our country. Burgers, a great coastal road and motor racing....what more could you ask for eh?

So, who's in?

Will have to check. My Dad has his 80th birthday that weekend and the boys are in the middle of exams.
Sounds like a good day tho so will try to make it.
 
Nice one Ryan, can't beat a good track event. This will be a fantastic day that simply cannot be missed :)

Excuse my ignorance here guys but I'm new to the forum and as yet I've not been able to attend an event. How does it work with numbers attending ie passengers in car?

Just add your name to the list + how many passengers.

With great regret folks im not going to make this one! Stuck in work and too late to book it off/someone already off that , Sounds like a good day though!

I'll hopefully make an appearance - I've a lot on with projects at work at present, but I'll hopefully know in the next week or so
 
I will try to make this - wife and crank shaft sensor replacement permitting.

When can you let us know for @Eirequattro ?

Need more names on the list guys, come down, spend a couple of hours with us, bring your family too, it will be a great day out :)
 
Will check with the wife and let you guys know tomorrow. Crank Sensor Arrived today so that should be on by the weekend and pending a good run out on the new sensor with no hot stalls it should be looking good.

Gents - fingers crossed I'll make it - I need to run the S4 in on the new crank sensor before I'm comfortable taking it anywhere remotely built up - I don't fancy a hot stall in the centre of Belfast. The plan is to get the Sensor in this week, clock up 40 or 50 miles of a run in on Saturday and then all things going well I'll be good to go. Sorry for the hold up in confirming.

Be majorly ****** off if I miss this one - 90% sure I'll be there though. Should I bring a few steaks? :)
 
Really hope you can be there buddy :) and yes please bring some if you can, same goes for anyone else if you'd like to bring something then please do :)
 
Unfortunately guys I am not going to be able to make this event. I forgot this weekend was when the music festival down home is on and I always attend with family and friends.

Okay guys, not long now until this meet. I've just finished cleaning my A3 and was out for a drive, and being from the Ards Peninsula myself, I thought it'd be a good idea to stop for a few photos where we plan to stop on our way to Kirkistown. As you can all see, it's a gorgeous location that's perfect for photos!

Guys,

What way is the BBQ working? Do we bring our own grub? What time are we meeting?
 
Yeah meant to ask times etc. Also - if the weather is poor do we have a plan B?

Awh I know I was looking forward to the banter and the road trip! .. Enjoy your day and I will keep an eye for the photos, its lovely location when the weather is kind!lol

You don't have to bring your own mate, me and Ryan will be bringing food for bbq but if you'd like to bring something that's no problem :)
 
Guys we are meeting firstly at Tesco in Newtownards at 11.30
