I've been in several Audi dealers recently, by chance, and there are a lot of Exclusive coloured cars popping up. Had me thinking that perhaps dealers are being allocated one or two snazzy motors to brighten up the showrooms? Tunbridge Wells have a Nardo A5 limited edition, a metallic orange R8 Spyder, this Merlin S3 and a bright yellow pearl S1 Sportback.
Wimbledon had a Java green RS5 (?) recently, Coulsdon have some mad looking cars too.
Making me crave a Merlin S or RS!

Saw that car a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely stunning. If only I had £90k the spend on a new one.
I follow him on Instagram and he has a V10 R8 and 8V S3 all customised, air ride etc... The list goes on.

They probably have them in so they can up sell clients to the exclusive colours where they make more margin

funny enough when I was discussing the bright green s3 my sales man in beckenham pretty much said this was the case and Audi are filling show rooms with bright top end models to attract the eye
All Audi Dealer's have got to take such high specced car's from Audi to keep there pristege of sales up,off hand i cant tell you the percentange...could find out?but thats the reason why the Audi S/RS side's of showrooms are of Audi exclusive colours.
I'm definitely thinking of getting Merlin Purple IF I have to do a factory order. Tonbridge Audi say that at present Audi can't make enough S3s for the UK!

I see your point dude, I do... But it's a joint car with he Mrs, we've just bought a house and we're getting married in June. I dunno if I can justify the hike over even a max-spec S3 just to satisfy my lust for power, soundtrack and a badge!
I feel your pain. I've just moved into a property too but I'm going to take the plunge. Always regretted getting an S3 when I could of chosen an RS3. Don't get me wrong I love it but I'm always envious and always kick myself. If you work hard, you deserve the best things in life. (Id be a bit concerned though if the Mrs would be driving it too though - sod that)

I'm going to rock the boat here... I really dislike merlin purple. I actually saw an A5 in the flesh last week and it was sat next to a Panther black RS4, and it just looked pants. My opinion, I like mysterious deep colours. I just thought it was too... Purple!

I'll be honest, I'll probably end up with a book colour as much as I want to go Exclusive, but we shall see...

Yes these two are mica, I've seen it in person and it's fantastic. If I were going for book colour go Panther black it's superb!
I like Panther - almost went with it on our 8P but someone beat us to the stock car in that colour! As much as I love rs4tdi's rs6 it's worth noting that it isn't his daily driver (b class merc is) the photos are edited and he is sponsored by Swissvax so no doubt waxed to within an inch of its life so perhaps not a real reflection of merlin.

BSP looks superb, go for it, carbon mirrors however, I do think would be slightly lost on panther, unless you wanted the full stealth look. BSP and standard wheels, there's a panther with carbon mirrors on the forum and it looks pretty epic.

I had Merlin Purple on my 1999 A4 1.8T Quattro sport. Loved it for about 2 months, and then wished I bought a black one.
Well ended up with a Glacier white stock car, BSP, and have ordered carbon mirrors. Was available immediately with a huge spec so all is well!

The Merlin is a nice colour but unconvinced how good it is for a car (I've never seen one for real through, only in pictures), it looks a bit like a sweet wrapper (like a 'Quality Street' if you can still get them....)
Well my merlin s3 is at Coventry Audi's Pdi centre, arranged pick up for next Friday.
