I think it will be a good race and Lewis needs to be on the ball

This interview cracks me up - especially the part at 02:50s when Hamilton says with a smile "he was pretty ...errrr" like he wanted to say "pi$$ed off" but stopped himself... http://www1.skysports.com/watch/vid...amilton/9801900/lewis-i-had-no-impact-on-nico

:lick:

The outcome of the Team briefing is here >>>

Hamilton's statement of affairs are always telling:
http://www1.skysports.com/f1/news/2...ton-accuses-nico-rosberg-of-not-trying-to-win...

But Rosberg's post briefing non-statement are just as telling by the lack of comment:

It was pathetic of Nico to say Lewis was slowing him up.
If Lewis was driving that slow, why didn’t he just pass him?

It wasn’t the most interesting race, so we can thank Maldonado’s for entertaining us. ;)

The last race, except for fight between Maldonado and Button, from which Alonso came out victorious ;), wasn't a great spectacle. Rosberg could chase up Hamilton, but he was afraid to destroy front tyres trying to do that. Loads of BS not motorsport. Bring on touring cars!

Looking forward to Bahrain, a track where overtaking is possible. It's going to be hard to beat last years race for entertainment, but I want to see Hamilton and Vettel dice, see how Vettel holds up! :racer:

I'm looking forward to Bahrain too, but I'd like to see Rosberg push the envelope more during Practice! That's the only way he's going to beat Hamilton without resorting to dirty tricks or politics.

I think he needs to spin off the track more to find the limits of the car! do more of his own research instead of studying Lewis' data.

We'll see how it goes.

Practise is looking entertaining so far.......

What a brilliant qualy. Great to see top drivers so close.

Looking good for tomorrow. Hamilton looks in a different league to Rosberg, I can see the ferrari's pressurising the Mercs tomorrow. Poor old Maldanado starting at the back of the grid. Wonder how many people he can overtake before he crashes, he may not even make it past the first corner.

It's better he starts at the back! This way, I lose less points if he finishes last! :D

I enjoyed the Bahrain race.. :icon thumright:

Good job from Lewis all weekend couldn’t do any more than lights to flag. :applaus:

Kimi was driver of the day for me, fantastic driving and good call from his team. :applaus:

I think Vettel is one of the quickest drivers when he’s got the track to himself, and blue flags to get cars out of the way for him, but is this Vettel yet again showing he cannot race wheel to wheel?

So with Lewis a clearly race win over the next competitor in the championship, it's got to be his to lose now, barring any retirements right?

Renault powered cars are going to have a tough season with the amount of failures we are seeing already!

Good news, would be nice to see another manufacturer in F1 , I could see them picking up the Force India with their wind tunnel in Cologne they could make a base there, or Torro Rosso.

Karl.

If Maldanado didn't have the bad luck he wouldn't have any at all. Good job Lotus have got Grosjean .
Not a very exciting race this one, Ferrari seem to have screwed up Vettels race with a poor strategy call.
If they had mirrored Hamiltons stops there would have been a chance to keep him in front of Hamilton.

I just watched the race recorded. From 10th lap till 50th on fast forward. You could have a 30min nap and still no change in the race. It is getting ridiculous. Person on pole wins, and 90% of overtakes are done in the pits. Not sure why I am even bothered watching it any more. BTCC and WEC have more action in one lap than f1 in the whole race.

Oh and btw. Watch both ginetta junior races today won by a 14 year old girl!

Amazing how Vettel (4-World Championships) last year couldn't keep up with Ricciardo last year but is beating Raikkonen (1-World Championship) this year while Kvyatt (who?) is giving Ricciardo a sweat; and yet they're alongside on the grid; and neither can't get more than a nanosecond of difference out of the car.

And there's Button and Alonso; who'd have thought Button could get close to Alonso; and yet they're alongside on the grid; and neither can't get more than a nanosecond of difference out of the car.

And then there's Massa and Bottas fighting between themselves; and yet they're alongside on the grid; and neither can't get more than a nanosecond of difference out of the car.

And then there's Hamilton (he was called 'tetchy' by Kevin Eason in The Times report on Monday and I agree with Kevin for once. I'm not a "don't speak to me man I'm doing a corner" fan) and Rosberg and guess what they're alongside on the grid; and neither can't get more than a nanosecond of difference out of the car.

I'd like to see that 'tetchy' Hamilton in a Force India and see what he can get out of the car over and above Hulkenberg.

Like many others I fell asleep during the Spanish Grand Prix; did again during the bl**dy replay; and unless it's raining here in the UK I doubt very much I'll be switching on to the Monaco Grand Prix - other than to see the yacht adornments (sorry Sandra...)

Me: I don't think there's a nanosecond between any of these F1 drivers and proof of that is the pace of a seventeen year old named Verstappen.

Today's cars are very much the same and all dependent on aerodynamics and management from OUTSIDE of the car: great when "he" wins and bad when "he" doesn't...

WEC: take a look. A number of ex-F1 drivers are ba**s out in WEC cars and accommodating seriously fast Porsche, Ferrari, Aston-Martin, etc.

F1 HAS to change. My guess is that it will be changing very soon. F1 is no longer the benchmark. F1 is boring.

WEC is the way to go: 2, 6, 12, and 24-hour races, with LMP1 and GT cars doing their own thing at the same time.

Current F1 racing is a metronomic nonsense and that's why we fall asleep watching.

PS: Ghost knows I like Vettel... I liked Schumacher too. Now everyone knows I like Vettel, he appears invariably to see the bright side of life...

Good morning Ghost, hope you had a spooky night: just reminiscing on the Barcelona race I missed most of but didn't Vettel 'overtake' Hamilton at the start of the race and Hamilton was 'unable' to pass Vettel until Vettel 'stopped' in the pits? I think this was maybe so oo oo o...

All good fun but reports from yesterdays meeting at the Bernie HQ of the refusal of McLaren; Ferrari, Mercedes, Red Bull, and Williams, to distribute the winnings £s and/or $s more evenly is going to result in the demise of other teams: I can see F1 being ignored my many more in the coming months... :drag:
