I know this has been covered before. Apologies. But, is it worth it if aiming for around the 350 bhp Mark? I've heard it adjusts your low end torque but can help at high speeds? I've got one. I'd just like to know if it's really necessary. Cheers.

Thankyou. What difference would I see with it on? Or is it pretty minuscule?

at 350 i'd expect more harm than help. SP tends to make better power till around 400 - 450 with better drivability too usually due to more timing being tolerated during mapping

Thanks again. I'll stick with the SP then. Also, just another quick question. I know the rods need changing at that power, but what about Pistons? Are they necessary as well? Do I need to lower the CR?

stick with your smallport for the power you mention

Thankyou both for your input. I'll stick to my small port. Anything I should upgrade on the head? I've been advised supertech valves.

Make sure guides are good, supertech exhaust valves at least, vapour/soda blasted to get it clean if you want it to look good, getting the head ported can help spool.
