lost car key!

has anybody had to get a replacement key?
I lost my car key and i have no idea where I put the spare key. I've phoned a few places and they said I have to get a new key done from Audi because the cars new??
 
Got a nasty feeling it won't be cheap.

Can't speak for Audi but I was quoted £150 to replace my Toyota key after it feel to bits over the last 10 years. Well needless to say I bodged it together with glue and electrical tape!!

Sounds a bit cheapskate I know but some things I just won't pay for on principle ;)

Yes, sounds pricey. We wouldn't want it to be easy I'm afraid!! Would expect Audi to be the only place to go.
Will be interested in the outcome.
 
Ooooffft, can't see that being light on the wallet! Cost me £395 for a new key on my last car (vauxhall), it was a smart key so maybe won't be so much but then again it's Audi we're talking about. Interested to know what it costs u, hopefully it doesn't hurt too much....
 
Annoying that there are scrotes out there who can probably do it for a few quid. You are talking hundreds. Sure if you phone the service dept, they will tell you a figure for a replacement and programming etc.
 
Maybe the time to try a bit harder to find the spare!! Have you got a woman about - they can usually find stuff!

Not sure about that, mine can never find her money in her handbag when I'm with her:notme:
