Hi,

I've got ongoing problems with my front parking sensors and in Audi's infinite wisdom they decided to disable the whole parking system when a fault is detected.
I'm still in the process of trying to fix the problem (having replaced multiple sensors I think it's a wiring problem).

My car is a 2009 B8 A4 with front and rear sensors from the factory. I've tried to just unplug the connector for the front parking sensors from the pdc but just get a different error and the whole system disabled.

My question is, is it possible to disable the front sensors in VCDS? I've had a look but couldn't find anything.

Cheers
Kane

I was just about to post the same question...

I no longer have front parking sensors fitted and this prevents the rear sensors from working. I have looked through VCDS and cannot find how to disable the fronts...

Hopefully someone will come along with the answer :)

There are two modules one which is rear only, and the other which is for front & rear. You may be able to flash the module with the software for rear only, but the easy option is just to replace the module. Current part number is 8K0 919 475T There is one on ebay at the moment for £65.

Ah thanks for this. I wish they'd just added a tick box on vcds which says, enable front parking sensors or something similar that I could just untick!

I've had a slight bit of progress with the sensors anyway. I traced the wires yesterday evening the best I could to see if there were any obvious breaks to the cables and I reseated the connectors. The sensors have been intermittently working today, whereas they were previously not work 100% of the time. Think I'm just going to order a new cable from kufatec and pray it works
