Hi my new S4's fog lights have a slight yellow tint to them compared to the headlights and I think it spoils the look of the car

Has anyone replaced theirs for the same reason ? If so which lamps did you buy to achieve a matched colour

Thanks in advance

Hi Phil, I asked the same question as my A4 is the same .... Nice white headlights and yellow ish fogs, I received the answer in a pm :-

"The Hoen bulbs are a direct replacement for the OEM ones in terms of size, fitment, voltage and wattage so there should be no errors flagged up. The only difference is the colour.

Take a browse of the Hoen website all FAQ's are answered there. They cost a bit more than the Ebay crap but the Hoen bulbs are a quality item.....trust me I have worked in the trade for 25 years, you will not be disappointed!"

I haven't ordered any yet as I was going to let the Christmas rush work it's way out of the system first :)

The replacement Heon Lamps arrived today - all the way from California

Pretty simple to fit once you get brave enough to pull the plastic covers off

I would say it has achieved the desired results :icon_thumright:

Sorry for the quality of the pictures

They look just right ... Not to bright like some of the other ones as they then make the headlights look dim :)

That looks much better.

I changed mine too, except I already had some Mtec ones ready that I took out the Skoda, I know what you mean about pulling the grills off too, I had to make a tool to get mine off, they take quite a strength to remove.

Any more pics, updates etc on members that have replaced their foglight bulbs?

On my 'old' A4 ( http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/thread...udi-a4-2-0-tfsi-quattro-s-line-saloon.225569/ ) I fitted some H11 55w 6000K bulbs that I got off the bay of e from China as I recall

They were a great xenon colour match. Didn't have any problems with them in over 5 years of fitment

Went for the removing the front grill method, which was a bit scary doing the first one TBH

I had been warned, so I did it on a warm day when the sun had been shining on the front of the car then poured some warm water over the grills before I gave them a good yank to get them off. Still made a almighty noise and thought I'd knackered them, but no, all alright as well as all the clips being ok too. This method is defo not for the faint hearted

Will be entering from the rear method (ahem ... :eyebrows:) on the fitment of the 1's to the S4 :thumbs up:

BH, I changed mine on the S4 a couple of weeks ago, with t8ups ice white H8 bulbs.
Will try and grab some shots - but it isn't dark very much at the moment :)
They are a very good match to the xenons/LED's though (could hardly be worse than the OEM could they, lol).
Fitting from the rear really is a piece of p1ss, steering on full lock to improve access, then just 2 torx head screws on each wheel arch liner, gently pull back the liner and the connectors/bulbs are right there. Connector off, twist the bulb housing anti 90 degrees to remove, and then reverse to fit the new. Only thing I would recommend is a small torch to help see whats what behind the arch liner, but it really is an easy mod.
Hope that helps :)

So glad to find this post, @StuBill, great timing.

@StuBill - Had a look at the front wheel arch liners yesterday. Unlike my 2009 B8 A4, which had the carpet type liners, my S4 has plastic front wheel arch liners

Removed the first 2 torx screw and there didn't seem enough room to change the bulbs with the liners being plastic

Just wondering what other peoples S4 front wheel arch liners are

Was going to have a go via the front fog light surround removal method (which I did on my B8 A4) but couldn't get a good enough grip to remove 'em

Pull away from bottom and that gives plenty of room. I did it on 2015 car and it's few mins work each side honestly... If your really stuck send me your Mobile no and il do 20secons video tomorrow for you to help

@Bristle Hound mine are plastic, fella. With the 2 screws removed you just ease the liner back. Plenty of give in it.
Once I had had a nose with a torch I just held the liner back with one hand and removed the connector and changed the bulb with t'other.
Hope that helps.

@StuBill - Cheers buddy. Will have another look tomorrow :)

@Bristle Hound just to be clear, it is the 2 torx screws on the bottom edge of the liner to remove. There is a fixing (on mine) further up the arch with a cover cap on it - you don't need to touch that one. Then as @ruairi83 says, pull the liner back from the bottom outer corner. If the liner is difficult to get hold off (as it sits inside the arch lip) you can gently use one of your plastic trim tools to get a hold started :)

@StuBill - Thanks :)

Mine are the plastic ones too, and are flexible to bend out of the way. Unplug the connector before twisting out the bulb 1/4 turn all done in 5 mins a side

Changed out my fogs. Horizon LEDs . H8 LEDs and purchased the plug in resistors as well in case of canbus error. The LEDs are canbus friendly but may throw a fault so just to be safe I fitted the resistors as well. Check out there website. Horizon LEDs . Co.uk.

I am also looking to change my fogs but I am not sure if I should get H11 or H8 bulbs?
On autobulbsdirect web page after typing my REG number it shows H11 but I heard the facelift model should use H8... soo confusing??? Can somebody help please?
