No, I didn't drive hit somebody and drive off! Instead someone hit my car with theirs and drove off. Fortunately the damage isn't too bad - I can't make it to an Audi garage this week but would anybody have a rough idea of how much this would cost to have repaired?

look like it will polish out. try it yourself because audi will make a mess of it and plus charge a fortune.

Firstly...the horrible b******* whoever did that.

Probably around £250 to re spray the panel at an independent body shop. Not sure about Audi, but a lot more, maybe £500 ( heard that their labour is about double ) how deep are they? Think it would polish out?

Hope you get it sorted soon.

That's terrible I really feel for you.....

As nick said probably around £250-300 depends also if they have to blend it in to other panels.

Just make sure you use a good body shop as some are sh*te and could get it wrong, took me ages to find a bodyshop I trusted.

Gutted for you mate, I don't know how anyone can just drive off after doing that...I'd feel guilty as hell.

Not nice!

Get a quote from dent master or dent wizard whatever they are called near you. I had a bump like that done 3 years ago for just over £100 and he touched up all the stone chips on the front as well to use the paint up he'd mixed. Still have the Ibis white actually it's not gone off yet.

Sorry to hear your bad news the scum bags - any chance of any CCTV was it in a car park ?

If you run your finger over it and you feel it with your nail then chances are it's too deep to polish out. I had a wing and door done on my Nevada white Seat Leon for £230 at a Vauxhall approved repair shop Great Central Vauxhall I think it was they did a cracking job you would never know it had been done. Listers quoted £750 !!!!!

A bike did this to me after 36 hours of owning it. He went for a gap that was too small, how he stayed on I have no idea. Sped off after him but I got caught at the lights. I do work for Audi, bodyshop said £120. Just needs the bumper corner painting. I've polished 95% of it out, just two deep scratches left on it

get some cameras front and rear.

someone did that to me whilst I was in a restaurant. I went to the repairers that Reading Audi used and did a deal on a scuff on the bumper and a 10p sized scrap - all belnded in perfectly - cant see any damage at all now - painting really has come a long way in the last 10 years.
cost £125 - cant complain. rather they did a good job than save a few quid on a rubbish job

DONT use this shower in slough - did an awful job on my wifes merc a class. They even used the same paint for the panels and abs plastic bumpers and said that was normal - I said no it isn't as they thought I was some kind of idiot - WTF!

yeh but Audi are likely to use the same repairer you use. always go direct.

Thanks for the reply guys. My heart dropped when I first saw, absolutely gutted.

There is only one 5p sized deep scratch. Still some paint from their car left on mine - would anyone recommend the best polish to use? I don't have a buffer though

id try and use some clay and detailer first then polish it. most products from decent detailer sellers are fine and most autoglym products are fine for this too
