Hi,

I am connecting a DS-AD003.2 lead to my alpine headunit into my Audi A4 B6. I assumed this lead would make the upgrade plug and play. The yellow wire has a permant live. I have connected red to red and yellow to yellow. The problem is when I do this the interior lights go brighter and the stereo makes a constant wining noise. Yellow to red and red to yellow nothing happens. Any help appreciated

You need a new source of power .. Maybe take it off a fuse your not using on the fuse board

Tried a direct lead from battery to yellow and same thing happened.

Can anyone tell me which lead i require? I have an B6. A concert stereo with an amp and sub in the boot.

Has anyone used the connects2 DS-AD003.2 lead with a B6? I have messaged numerous car audio shops and connects2. They have all said its the correct lead. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help appreciated.

You will need to run a new ignition wire from red of the radio loom to the fuse box. This should work fine. If you have half rear amplified like me then the lead should be ISO and then mini ISO for the rear amplified.

Ye it's half amped. I want to be able to use the steering wheel controls. I thought the point of this lead was that it's plug and play. No extra wires needed because it used can bus

Ah right sorry didn't know your car had steering controls. It should all work yes via the can bus system and give ignition output to turn on the aftermarket radio. If it's not doing that then I would guess it's faulty and not reading the can correctly and making it all switch on. Also soundsike something is back feeding to make the lights go funny.

Thanks

Thanks for the responses. I'll return and exchange the lead. Hopefully will solve the problem. Only thing putting me off is that the lead could be for the B7 and not the B6. Even though my car is 2005 it's a B6

There's a good chance that the software in the can box is for s B7. I have fitter a few on the the incartec stalk adapters. Have a look on www.incartec.co.uk. Select car etc. think there £49.00 plus the the radio manufacturer bit on top of £5/6 (pioneer/Sony etc)
