Hi all quick question , my misses had to take ma car to work today as her front left tyre was flat on her fiat 500 but as I was driving it back home after getting tyre fixed I was getting tailgated and no cars let me out at junctions ect... but when I'm in my a3 u seem to a bit of respect in the road ? If u get me ?

Sorry if that has offended anybody with a Fiat 500 but a just felt that other driver took the c**t with me when a was driving it , but when I'm in my audi I get get treated with respect let out at junctions ect....

This whole thing about BMW/Audi/Mercs not getting let out by everyone who doesnt have one is a load of bull.

I've owned Fords, Citroen, BMWs, Fiats, Audi, Subaru and driven many other brands of cars and never notice any difference whatsoever in terms of getting let out, its an age old myth.

Must just be you mate, they just look at you and think "Nah, not letting that c*ck out!" :)

I've not experienced it in the Audi, yet. However, got it all the time in my three 5 series and worst of all was in my Discovery. Try driving round the Raith Interchange in rush hour.

That at Strathy park m8? If so probs one of the worst bits for congestion

I think it does happen. I'm driving mates 5 series around today and you do get more respect on the road in a bigger car, more people look at you driving past.

Define respect, as soon as you get to a junction everyone stops immediately to let you out?

He's just been to collect his car and return mine...by respect I mean I get let out of junctions more and people give me more space on the road

Put some science behind it and we'll talk otherwise its more than likely the placebo effect.

My wife has a 500 and I drive it when i need to park easily. I rag the *** of it and beat up quite a few bigger cars because they don't expect it!

Since I've returned the car I can't but may have it again at the end of the week...and I'd love to put science behind it but I'm not going to count cars or measure how often I'm let out of a junction lol
