Am in need of 4 tyres 235/40 18 Urgently. Just wondering if there are some budget tyres out there that are good or nearly as good as mid range to premium tyres???

I know there are some out there??

Never heard of those tyres, couldn't find them on http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk
Have a look at tyreleader. You are better off spending £10-£15 a tyre and getting something that will work in the wet and won't fall apart after 6 months.

Karl.
Thanks Karl. I have been looking at hankook already.

Firestone firehawk any good??

I use Barums. They are made by continental and cost about £98 fitted at national tyres in 245/40 18. Couldn't recommend them more, they feel better than my previous pirellis I had on it.

Uniroyal Rainsport 3's! Had the on for about 3k now! I've highly recommended them on a few threads before this. Cost me roughly £70 fitted I think for 225/40/18. £62 for the tyre and my local dude fitting them for about £8 a corner! Brilliant in both the wet and dry, does nothing but fill me with confidence in the cars cornering ability!

Mine also came with 235's. I didn't see any difference as at the end of the day it is only 10mm narrower. What width are your alloys? There will probably be something about the speedo accuracy being thrown out but the difference would be minimal. No change in comfort as I didn't go for a lower profile such as 35 which would of been 11.25mm less it tyre height, I kept the 40 profile.

I got nexen N6000's all round on mine after Mike.M recommend them and I can't fault them! Will get them again when it's time for new tyres.

Ordered the uniroyals 225/40 18. £255 delivered. Now need to find somewhere cheap to fit.

Not bad 1 quoted me £60 for all 4. But will call some more garages up tomorrow.
That's not bad either mate. When I bought new alloys the garage I go to fitted them for £20 after he closed on a Saturday at 1pm so he's pretty fair. £60 sounds pretty good as an average price though!
