Audi are due to launch a range of warranty-backed, Audi Sport tuning upgrades for S and RS models, by all accounts. This will include suspension, brakes, wheels, exhausts and possibly software upgrades. Could be by the end of the year. Don't know about you, but i find that pretty exciting!

They have the race history with abt so I wouldn't be surprised. The DTM is on at the moment with abt tuned Audis

Yeah this is one of the ABT tuned Audi's. Pretty amazing

Like wise where you did you hear this from??

It's in the latest issue of Audi Tuner mag.

This is really good news will be keeping a eye out for confirmation from Audi, shame my insurance will rip my *** if I tune atm.

Just read the item on line sounds really good.
Looking like a launch in line with the new R8.

In America, Stasis (Revo) remap's are warranty approved on Audi's.

Could be that?

Id love to remap my car and keep my warranty, but its around £2000 for ABT isnt it?

Yeah it is. It is expensive but as I have said on a previous link that the full power doesn't come in til the engine warms up to 90 degrees so it's a lot safer than some remaps plus it's nice having the piece of mind of an extra warranty. Mine is a piggy back ecu so I'm hoping that it doesn't flag up if I ever take it into Audi for any work.

Anyone who drives there car like they stole it before the car gets up to optimum temperature needs shooting. lol

So, if it did flag in Audi, what are the advantages of paying a lot more for the ABT over the likes of MTM (which seems cheaper?) and again is sort of like its own piggy back ecu ?

Indeed - I've always wondered how far this ABT 'warranty' goes. If they cover anything Audi no longer do, no questions, then fair enough, paying ~£1000 over the odds to potentially save you ~£5k down the line in the rare possibility of something blowing up is OK in my book.

At the end of the day when you modify the car manufacturer has to prove what you did caused the problem. However in most cases people generally get bullied by dealerships hence why people are frightened to modify cars. Generally whenever I modify my car I always try to find out and understand what effect or stain it's gonna have on the car before doing it, just so that the dealership can't get away with murder.

From what Richter Sport have said it is a full engine and drive train warranty for 2 years or 100k kms. I'm hoping that means any issues with the clutch would be resolved, but to be honest I would get a Sachs upgraded one anyway rather than another Audi one. The problem with warranties is that they are all good on paper but it's when something goes wrong you find out how good it is.

Couldn't agree more @Ian
Like the paint issues I was telling you about. They say you have a 12 year warranty on corrosion and paint defeats until they have to dip their hands in their pockets and pay for it lol

Exactly, they are trying to fob you off with just respraying one side instead of a total respray. Good on you for persisting

Has anyone heard anything since the post, looking for a bit more power but want to keep my warranty.

Hi...any announcement from Audi that there introducing upgrades like ford do with mountune with remapping that doesn't void your warranty.
Issue number 4 inside Audi tuner magazine wrote an article about the introduction of official Audi tuning products in line with the introduction of the new R8

theres probably an answer for this but why do Audi team up with ABT for tuning etc when MRC have been their Gold Tuner awarded company for so many years running? I know audi aren't actually teamed up with MRC as tuners but they are recognized at such things like ADI whereas ABT arent?

Because ABT are German and have a motorsport connection with Audi.
