Afternoon all,

I have recently purchased an Audi A3 S-Line 2.0 TDi (2011) and loving it. I am trying to get the Cambelt and Waterpump changed to pre-empt the 5 year cycle. Mine has done 65k.

Can anyone recommend any good garages around the Guildford, GU2 area? Audi are quoting 549 for the work.

I have had mine changed by AMD Essex for £312 including VAT.
It's quite a saving and you can spend the day in Lakeside shopping centre or IKEA if you prefer.

That's of course if you don't mind driving 50 miles to the east.

Fontain Audi in Iver do fixed pricing on this at £450. You can get it done cheaper if you shop around, but make check the place out before comitting.

If you can find a garage within a 10 mile radius that uses genuine Audi/VW parts and show it to your local Audi garage they'll price match.

I had a quote £186 cheaper, went back to Audi, showed them the quote and they matched it with a courtesy car and without hesitation.

Audi priced matched mine against Fontain over the phone. AMD don't use genuine Audi parts I believe.
