yea there bigger but theres a bit more involved in getting them on. plus I think the 312 will be more than enough for my tdiAren't S4 brakes bigger?
We'll hope weather hold out for you mate and no dodgy bolts that snap or round
no before pictures but gives you an idea..
and yip.. my wheels need refurbished but there is other things I want to sort first.
Just ordered a gates timing belt kit and new water pump. so that will be the next job.
They really fill the wheels up,good work mate
Nice!!! Are they s4s?
yea I wish I had took a before picture to show the difference.
ive still got a fair bit on the to do list..
will be doing the timing belt, water pump, power steering pump, full service, bigger nozzles and decat next week.
going to order a boost pipe as well and see if I can get the 130 turbo fitted while im in there.
going to see about getting a 130 egr delete pipe as well and fit the inlet but that can wait if need be.
ive not long fitted new arms to the car. as for suspension I mainly mean springs and shockies.Trig brackets, facelift s4 b5 calipers, S4 b6 300mm discs and new hoses.
Before you start doing suspension, decide what kind of brakes you want to get, and change uprights/lower control arm at the same time.
Correct.
I used alloy uprights but got the calipers from a C6 A6 which were 312mm same as JBH has used.
You can fit B5 S4, all the way up to B7 RS4 brakes to the alloy uprights.
Personally, i'd avoid going too large, as you dont need the extra and it just costs you more money both in maintenance and buying them in the first place.
The 320mm ATE setup used on later B7's and Allroads is probably what i'd be buying, or the B6 S4 setup that brad's got.
so far im happy with what im running.Correct.

I would like to upgrade to the newer calipers through time but having fitted new front calipers to the car I'm tempted to wait a while..
the brakes are good and are like night and day to what the car was like before. so ill keep with what ive got the now and just keep my eyes open for cheap parts to upgrade through time.
Yeah will do mate, have you got around to doing your belt yet?hopefully doing my own on the weekend, gonna throw the fmic while in in there
not yet will hopefully get it done this weekend if its dry.
I ended out doing my mates timing belt on his passat last weekend. he had a snapped auxiliary belt, a knackered tensioner and a seized clutch pulley and was doing a 400 mile trip on Monday so his was needing attention before mine. plus my car hasn't turned a wheel all week.
my new boost pipe arrived so when the front ends off ill fit the 130 turbo as well.
Fair play, bet he was happy with that
Do you know the thickness of the tool used to lock the cam?i was looking at buying one but if I have something that will work I probably won't bother.
