Not long got a s3 sport back and iv noticed it's sits lower at the back than at the front quite a bit
Has anyone just fitted a set of front lowering springs to the front?
Iv checked the rear springs and shockers and they are factory but would like it to look lower on the front also it has standered wheels etc on it
Has anyone else had this problem

Don't worry it's not a problem as they all sit like this.

Eibach lowering springs are just a pair for the front which drop 25-30mm so all the wheel gaps are the same. Nice subtle drop which makes the car look so much better.

That's great thanks for the quick replys
Where did you find the best place to get them not so much bothered about price just want to make sure I get the right ones before stripping
And did you replace the top mounts or anything while it was all off
Or did you just got new front springs and nothing else ?

@DPM is where I got mine from.

You should change the top mount and bearing. I used OEM items but some people take the opportunity to fit RS3 top mounts and bearing which are supposed to be better.

I got mine from ebay.de but im in Australia . The link I put in above is UK.
I didn't change my top mounts. I checked the ball bearing faces and added some new grease. They looked and felt in good nick :)
I think the S3 down here get the same tops as the RS3, same in UK maybe ?
Fitting was easy. Just get this tool and the rest is straight forward.

No need to undo hub or lower ball joints on an S3 as the original spring is shorter than the A3.
I just used a rattle gun to undo and replace the top nut. Minimal preload on the original spring.

i didnt change mounts at all did however use hr springs 50mm lower now have permanent arch rubbing . need some better rear shocks , anyone recommend any , ?

50mm is too low for me I just want a nice even look so 25mm/30mm should be fine for me

You just unscrewed the strut from the top, without unbolting anything from the bottom?

Buz where did you get your springs from and is it deffo 25/30 mm
Yours are?

I got mine 2nd hand off another forum member after only a few thousand miles usage. I was under the assumption they were 25/30 mm but happy to accept they're only 20 mm. Either way they look absolutely spot on with a subtle drop and can highly recommend!

That's great Buz and everyone else that's had a bit to say
Going to get a set ordered and get them on asap

Link shows spreader tool for the bottom of strut leg. Remove lower bolt, remove sway bar bolt. Push axle assy down, remove top 3 bolts.

I'd be going for H&R springs if I were you. That's what I did on my sportback, changing just the fronts is madness imo

That's the thing scoot yo
I'm happy the way the back sits
Just want the car to sit better at the front

To be honest I haven't seen anyone running the eibach pro kit complaining about anything.

I'll be installing mine on Thursday

Is it just the front your getting?
Are you buying new top mount bearings etc or are you just re-using the old ones

Yes the prokit comes lowers only the front.
I'll be using my original topmounts as my car only has 14000km on the clock

Just for info the Eibach springs for the S3 have the same spring rate as the original S3 springs, just wound tighter.

Just fitted my eibach springs. And all I could say is that I love them! I notice the ride is more forgiving on bumps now compared to stock springs. And we do have terrible roads over here. Love the stance too!

Not the best photos but you got an idea, and please excuse the dirty car

Well done . I am very happy with mine too. Just did a 680k round trip with some nice tight mountain roads in between. Turn in is good, ride quality is good too.
I am happy with the standard S3 shock valving, reasonable tight on fast movements offset by the soft springs.

@Mario8P...where is "over here"

Well springs arrived this morning so can wait to get a dry afternoon to get them on! Service has been fantasic from lvs racing.
To any of the guys that fitted front springs at home did you have to disconnect the driveshaft to get the shocker out?
