Hardwire dashcam a bit of help!

All,

I know there are various topics on this, but they all seem to fizzle out without final answers....

Im looking to hardwire in my Drivepro 200 dashcam.

Ive ordered a female fag lighter socket which I intend to wire in to the fusebox using a piggyback fuse. I will then plug my drivepro into that and then all the wiring is hidden.
I know there are various 12v to 5v step down adaptors out there, but his dashcam seems sensitive to voltage so I want to use the supplied 12v adaptor.

Therefore, my question is....

Will this work ok? A female fag lighter socket piggybacked on the cars regular fag lighter fuse and then plugging the drivepro into that?

Also, what size of fuses does the car use? Mini, micro? Its like trying to decide the size of a sim card!!
